What’s wrong? 9 pm on a Saturday night in October, and there‘s only two couples at the tables. It doesn‘t seem to be the management‘s fault: We are enjoying very good food - a choice of seven antipasti for 10 Euros, all fine, spaghettone alla carbonara as primo piatto for 12 Euros,
surprisingly refinded, and tagliata di vitello (12 Euros) as secondo piatto in a cool combination with an orange/onion salad (4 Euros). These two dishes are not perfect because of some chewy parts in the beef steak and not precisely filleted oranges - but still good. Even the basic red house wine is respectable, as is the espresso.
The friendly bearded waiter (owner?), who speaks some English, brought us a 73 Euro bill (including 4 Euros coperto for two persons) but only charged us 70 Euros.
So, what’s wrong? LoSteri is not located at Main Street, and with its 2000s lounge music and paintings on the walls, it might just not appeal too much to the average tourist or Sicilian family. What a shame.

The location of the restuarant is in a quiet piazza next to a church. It is a really nice setting, very peaceful and atmospheric. The service was very good and friendly and the food really nice. It is a short walk from the main tourist area of the Piazza Duomo which to be honest is a very noisy place. So if you want a very nice peaceful meal take a 5 min walk to LoSteri, it is well worth it

Ordered the Tagliata which was fatty and undercooked. With no argument they took the charge off the bill. Antipasto was good, as was the black ravioli. Unfortunate about the steak, but happy that we weren't expected to pay for it. Service was good.
Restaurant
Kind guest, we are astonished to learn your general assessment of the quality of the dishes you eat because you say they were good but the tagliata you did not like because was fat and not cooked enough, we would like to point out that the quantity Meat fat is crucial: if it is not marshal, ie if it does not contain a good amount of intramuscular fat, it will hardly be tasty, not everyone loves flesh in the blood, but in theory the inside of the cut must remain pink but still you We have replaced with another dish you choose from the menu. Yours sincerely

Wonderful dinner with home made food and perfect service.
The Osteria is well located near the Duomo place, easy to find and great spot.
I have eaten home made fresh ravioli filled with ricotta and pork sauce as main plate then I tried the fried home made ravioli filled with ricotta for dessert and everything was delicious.
We could feel all the ingredient of the dishes. Accompanying my great dinner I decided to try a blond craft beer from Modica. Everything was gorgeous and prepared with Love.
Thank you to the cook and the charming persons who served us. Recommended
