Is a Galician restaurant in Catalonia a good idea? On this evidence, yes. I’d never eaten sea urchins before but they were on the menu so I did. They really tasted of the sea. For main courses, my wife had rice with cuttlefish and I had monkfish in shrimp sauce. Both were excellent. The service was charming and the wine list reasonably priced. My only complaint was that there were only a few other customers. Coronavirus may have been to blame for this; the restaurant certainly deserves to be busier than it was on our visit.

Good food, but in three courses I found nothing really exciting. I thought my starter of sea urchin roe with Bearnaise sauce and peas would have been better without the sauce and peas. It’s hard to improve on bare sea urchin roe, and their attempt to do so failed. I was pleased to be able to order a fish course of a species listed by the IUCN as of “least concern”: ballan wrasse. The wrasse, which was accompanied by a prawn, cockles, and a tasty sauce, had good flavor and texture. The best course was the dessert, an excellent torrija accompanied by tonka bean ice cream. Very friendly, helpful, and efficient service.

Excellent location, on the Rambla near Colombus Monument and Palace Guell, it offers interesting dishes with fresh ingredients perfectly mixed. Outstanding customer service completes the package of a brilliant offer.

The two starters were good but very small. Both main courses were poor - the grouper was tough and cold and the beef with lobster was bland. Neither dessert was to my taste. The staff were friendly and service was good. All in all a disappointing New Year’s Eve unfortunately.

Love the food, the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. Love the atmosphere. It’s a good find in busy street of la Ramblas. Would definitely recommend

A perfect lunch on Christmas Day! Lovely welcome, great service, good atmosphere and delicious food. We had the lobster which we’d definitely recommend. Would visit again as so many choices on the menu. On La Rambla a few doors up from Plaça del Teatre, not we’ll sign posted as a listed building but look out for the yellow circle logo on a white background and the restaurant is upstairs.

Herman, Ivana, and their colleagues created a wonderful environment with extraordinary service, unbelievably splendid food, and an atmosphere filled with joy and romance. One of the best restaurants in which we have dined in our 40 years of travel together. Marcia & Mark

It was the worst meal we have ever had. The calamari was tough, the hake was terrible tasting and not fresh, the talbot portion was microscopic. Worst meal on a 3 week Spain trip. Not a good way to end a trip.

Athough the location is in the heart of touristic Barcelona, the experience was very original Spanish. Great Galician kitchen with several types of fish and others. Very attentive team and great atmosphere.
