10/10Great location carved into the stone layers of Matera. We had lunch in their smaak courtyard which has a great atmosphere. The what I believe to be owners couple are very kind and also love to share some dishes outside the menu with you. Food was simple but good and all is well priced. Fine white house wine that went well with the dishes we picked. If you eat lunch early (before 2 PM you don’t need to reserve (outside high season), Italian regular time I would make sure you book a table beforehand.

10/10If you’re in Matera looking for an amazing and unique restaurant, look no further than Lucany! The menu was imaginative, delicious, and affordable and the vibe was excellent. A perfect mix of friendly and luxury. Plus the host gave us a tour of the old wine cave which they now use for events. I highly recommend!
