A charming restaurant, with a very friendly and cordial owner . The pasta with tartufo is highly recommended.
Best restaurant in Lucca! The terrace is really cute and cozy. The food is amazing and the waiters are so kind. Definitely a must go during your stay.
Outstanding meal! The pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly, the bruschetta was great, and the salti in bocca was tender and flavorful. Michele was a great host. Altogether a great experience.
Had a lovely Christmas lunch here! The pasta was fresh and delicious and the wine list was impressive. Delightful desserts and the friendliest staff ever.
This was a delightful restaurant! The food was delicious and we felt totally welcomed and appreciated. We initially sat at an outside table, but when it began to sprinkle, they immediately made a table for us inside. It was cozy and warm and we enjoyed the ambiance of both settings. We could not have asked for a more perfect meal and evening. Highly recommend!
Traditional Italian food at reasonable prices. This is our second time to this restaurant. If you love pasta, there are a lot of great choices. Ample-sized starters as well. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. The menu is in several languages.
The proprietor of this restaurant is very gracious and welcoming. They have an extensive menu and make the pasta in-house. There’s a nice selection of wine.
Very attentive staff and excellent food. Good vegetarian options. Homemade pasta and desserts and some of the best and freshest homemade bread in Lucca.
Really gracious owner -- we felt very welcome and cared for. Great vegetarian and gluten-free options!
We went for lunch, and who doesn't like dining al fresco? Since the restaurant is a little out of the main tourist zone you aren't pestered by street vendors. The menu is big with many dishes in each category and shown in five languages. The bright and witty Stephanie helped us with quantities so we didn't horribly over-order, though I could have stayed all day ordering the prosciutto e melone over and over. I've never much liked it and got it for my husband, but I've never had it with perfectly ripe melon heaped with tender, unctuous prosciutto. Top quality, generous portion and food to the eye as well. We both had a pasta main. I had the pici with pistachio cream. In talking to Michael who runs the pass, they acquire special pistachios that are part of the sauce and are a topping as well. Unusual dish and yummy. After four courses Michael treated us to limoncello made from lemons from Sorrento. Smooth as can be and top quality. Loved the food, loved Stephanie and Michael and am sorry I can't eat there every day.
Lovely staff and super tasty food. We were lucky to witness a parade down the road with everyone dressed up in historical costume which was great entertainment.
This lovely restaurant is a must. Michael and the staff were very welcoming and gave us excellent service. The food was delicious and there is lots on the menu to choose from. I finally chose the penne with salmon and vodka sauce. It was delicious! Thankyou Michael and staff for a lovely experience and give our compliments to the wonderful chef. We will be back next year hopefully. Regards Diana and Jean.
Great place. Service very friendly and recommendations excellent. Such nice people.Recommended!
A lovely meal provided by the very welcoming and friendly staff at Lucca in Tavola. We enjoyed it that much, that we would like to book again.
Only for tourists. Forget the real Lucca cuisine. Sorry.
This was a perfect evening for our first day of our holiday. Staff were charming and very helpful, and food was thoroughly enjoyable
Genuine, fresh and quality ingredients are the secret of this very pleasant, local restaurant. The taglieri of salami, carpaccio, ham and lardo are tasty and artisanal, not overly salted and industrial. Most of the pasta is home-made, and the combinations are unuusual. My wife had a kind of picci (short, thick, cylinders of pasta) in a delicious sauce made from pecorino di fossa and pistachio nuts. The tagliatelle with baccalà and a spicy sauce was equally good. Choose a Lucchese red from nearby Montecarlo as an inexpensive accompaniment to your meal. Cost incl. water and coffee came to 20€ per head with the Fork 20% discount. Even without the discount, though, it’s well worth the money. The charming owner/waiter, Michele, and his talented wife in the kitchen will make your meal a most enjoyable one!
Wonderful. The food was delicious, I had the pasta with pecorino and pistachios and my husband had. The carbonara with corgettes, very tasty! The focaccia was the best ever, and the ambiance was great too. The owner was so attentive and helpful. I would definitely return.
Superb food and Michele is a delight, making it easy for even the most awkward of English speakers.
What an amazing evening with our host Michael and colleagues. Amazing Italian cuisine recommended with wonderful service. Look no further for the finest food and evening in Lucca
Such a great dinner! We had truffles pasta and Tuscan cold cuts with cheese. One of the best location in Lucca with a great service and wine.
Really friendly and wonderful food
Michael was an amazing host- suggested menu choices to us based on our request. He was so kind and funny and we enjoyed talking with him during our meal. A must restaurant if you are visiting Lucca & looking for an enjoyable atmosphere with great homemade Italian food! Grazie Michael! Bill & Stacey from USA
