El restaurante Lupertz se autodefine como un establecimiento en el que se integran arte y gastronomía. Su cocina fusión es mestiza, sabrosa y creativa. Su ubicación te lleva al madrileño barrio de Malasaña, diagonal al teatro Maravillas, muy cerca del metro de Bilbao.

José Ballester, chef y propietario del restaurante Lupertz, es un experto en cocina y un apasionado de la pintura. El restaurante Lupertz responde a su manera de ser y platos como el Turco, el Ceviche de corvina cremoso, el Pollo o el Solomillo de ternera al Josper son, aparte de la decoración del local, grandes obras de arte.

Tu lugar está en uno de los dos pisos que dividen su espacio. En él, no faltará un vermouth de la casa, un original papelón con limón, ni la auténtica cerveza artesanal La Virgen. Really enjoyed the evening, going back soon, because I could not try all the dishes I wanted :) and the goat cheese ice-cream was amazing!

We chose this restaurant because unlike most places in Madrid, they are open early (before 8) for dinner and have a wide variety of dishes suitable for vegetarians. The food was quite good (we had mostly middle-eastern / mediterranean dishes), and the price was fair. Service was really friendly. It's not a fancy place by any means, and it's quite small... but it was a good choice for what we wanted - a casual evening with friends that didn't eat meat.
