It was supposed to be a nice family evening. And it started well. The onion soup was great, the snail casserole was good, the chicken was also ok. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not good at burgers. My sister was supposed to get well done - she got a medium-done burger. And almost burnt fries. I ordered a medium rare burger and it was raw. Look like tartare with the peel. When I reported that I would not eat raw meat, the burger was taken to the kitchen and it was served to me again in the same bun, but this time it was completely baked. The fries were also very burnt. I waited 1 hour 20 minutes for all this because someone made a mistake - as the waiter informed me after the fact. We got the soup and casserole after 20 minutes. Overall rating 3.

Madam, I understand your frustration, however I came to see you several times to explain the situation and apologize for the fault of the waiter, the restaurant was full and that explains the wait, regarding the cooking it is a misunderstanding because it was either undercooked or overcooked and I did not charge you for this dish and applied the 40% discount also I think sometimes you have to be understandable Sincerely

Our second visit. This time we brought friends who just bought an apartment in the quartier. Overall, the meals were good except for my pièce de boucher which was so tough as to be almost entirely inedible. I could barely saw through the meat and could not chew 80%+ of the little bites I did manage. What a disappointment! And awkward and embarrassing as I had to dispose of the inedible bites. When I mentioned this to the waiter and said someone needed to tell the chef, he said it wasn't the chef's fault, it was just the cut of meat(!). Not even an apology as he poked through my discarded, chewed-leather meat. Of course a chef is responsible for what he sends from the kitchen. I had been enthusiastic about Madame Charles after our first visit, but not now. In any case, Avoid the beef!

The Fork discount inspired us to try this very pretty and cosy restaurant which looks newly and stylishly decorated. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was very good. Mini raviolis with pleurotes in a savory cream sauce were a rich starter. Entrecôtes with frites and salad were tasty and cooked as requested. The wine was excellent and reasonably priced. The only minor flaws were two of the four mignardises (cannelle and "moeulleux" au chocolat) that came with the café gourmand. The cannelé was rubbery and flavorless and the "moeulleux" was dry. A panna cotta and crème brulée were excellent and the coffee was very good. There is also plenty of exterior space for dining or drinks. We'd happily go back.

Good, tasty food (we both had meat). A bit expensive, but we were using the Yums at the fork so I can't complain too much about that. The service was great!
