10/10Not enough good things to say about this Michelin star restaurant. The food and service are what are expected. Plus, I have to give a huge thanks for having accommodated us for the wine and tasting menu. Although we arrived at 930 and the tasting menu ends at 915 - they still allowed us to partake on that amazing culinary adventure. Every dish and wine spectacular.

8.5/10Food was good but not as good as I'd hoped for a 2 Michelin star restaurant. All of the dishes were good, and a couple were very good but nothing that blew me away. Although they made apples more delicious then I've ever had them before. Service was excellent and ambience was pretty good.

8/10The food was really excellent but the service not at the level you expect from a two star restaurant. It took quite a while from we were seated until we were asked whether we wanted champagne or an aperitif. After ordering we waited another 5-10 minutes and another person came and asked the same. The same confusion happened when we were asked whether we wanted coffee and/or dessert - two different persons came and asked the same. But the food was excellent (we picked from the a la carte menu: Scallops and Dublin Bay Prawns as starters, Sole and Blue lobster as mains, cheese and Peruvian chocolate as desserts). Prices were high, as you expect for a two star restaurant, but some of the wines were really overpriced (more then three times the wine-shop price) and good-value for the money alternatives were lacking (e.g. no excellent Macon-village wines or good value Loire whites).

5/10The restaurant is architecturally in a sad state: the light above our table flickered, the lighting in the showcases was partially broken, there are old transformers on the floor to power a lamp, the interior design is out of date. The chef Nicolas Beaumann was uninspired and unfriendly the whole evening, apathetic, did not greet the guests and walked around bored. The food itself is ok, but - as is true of other Michelin star restaurants in Paris: 2 stars in Paris equals one star in the rest of the world: creativity, details, arrangement, depth of sauces are considerably better outside of Paris and especially outside of France. Maison Rostang would certainly be only a one-star restaurant here. The amuse bouche were simple in nature. Where other restaurants like to combine visual highlights with flavorful explosion, these were more traditional amuses. In the first dish, one of the mushrooms was too soft, the other very nicely cooked to the point. One dish had too many bitter notes. The Bay Prawn lacked depth of flavor, as did the John Dory white fish. The first dessert was very tasty, the last too sweet. Even though we were only two guests at the table, the service often does not know how to put the plate. There is simply a lack of ambition and precision in everything. The wine pairing was of very mediocre quality, mostly young simple wines. The sommelier was usually late with the next wine and had to be reminded when the next course was already on the table. With approx. 700 euros for 2 people an expensive evening, which is not in proportion to the quality of the cuisine, the wines and the interior. A new chef with more energy and creative drive would have to take the helm here to live up to the restaurant's name.

10/10Found this quaint restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. It is small inside but boasts of nice interior. The tasting menu is very good, especially the caviar inside potato, and the perfect venison. The Dublin Bay prawns are very good. Jeremy, the sommelier provided personalized Wine pairing after he asked our preferred taste.

8.5/10The food was good. Definitely one of the top end restaurants we’ve had. Service was also very good and attentive. We had the blue oyster dish; the lobster was cooked to perfection though the barbecue sauce was not to our liking. This is not to say it wasn’t good ; it was more a preference thing. The wine selection is superb. A definite go to place in Paris.

8/10Out of the 10-plus Michelin experiences I’ve enjoyed, this was the least memorable. Unfortunately we felt un-attended to by staff and secluded from service. There are also minstrel figurines inside one of their private dining areas (where we were seated). The tasting food was ok, but only two of the seven courses were notable. The sommelier did a great job with the pairings, but he neglected to describe our last wine, and that one of the courses came with no pairing. The service was nothing to write home about, and the seating area was very warm (even with no coats as they were taken at the start of our journey). I was a little disappointed by what was thought to be a very exciting 2-star experience.

10/10The quality of the food, it’s presentation, the coordinated service, helpfulness of the entire staff exceeded our expectation. The staff is unpretentious and they are happy to interact with you, should you wish it. The ambiance of the dining area is quiet, relaxing, and simply, yet tastefully, decorated for its time with light colored wood molding etc. Each course was served with special unique interludes of one petite serving or another. We left pleasantly satisfied after a memorable dining experience!

3/10Most terrible experience I've ever had. They don't deserve the stars they have! Staff is extremely rood and poorly trained. Seemed to me that I'm at some fast food place. Staff has attitude if you ask them for something, and you must ask because they're not doing their job at all! Establishment has this terrible smell that hits your nose right when you enter. Overall terrible!!!

6/10Food was good, but not great. Seemed very standard fine dining - honestly no complaints about the food, but was maybe underwhelming given the 2 star rating. Service was overall not that good. For the first hour, we had very few interactions with the staff. During this hour, we sat with the wine menu and ate an amuse bouche - that’s about it. After that hour, service was slightly better, but definitely felt neglected the first hour or so. There were also little things that were overlooked on our table of 2, but not on others (eg, table next to us would have plates dropped at the exact same time - super cool presentation. Our table was delivered one after the other - not a big deal, but given the 2 stars and that other tables received, I felt a little disappointed). Ambiance was worse than the service. While there were a bunch of cool wine bottles everywhere in random storage facilities (which was actually quite nice and added to the ambiance), the room we were in could hear a pin drop the entire meal. It felt as if we were being disrespectful to talk anything above a whisper. Some very small background noise would have been nice. Instead, it was eerily quiet and I felt like I was at a funeral.

9/10This dinner was the highlight of our trip to Paris, and we will be talking about it for years. We did the tasting menu in 7 steps with a wine pairing which I think is absolutely the way to go. The creativity, delivery, and flavor in each dish was outstanding. The level of service was also incredible, with a very friendly staff that took the time to explain each dish, each wine for us in English. They were also quite funny and friendly and interacted with us in fun ways throughout the night in order to keep the night interesting. The restaurant felt quite private and intimate as well.
