6.5/10Basic family run restaurant near the town centre. Adequate food - nothing special. Like many restaurants these days the sole front of house staffer was working super hard but needed help.

8.5/10We both had the foie gras ,followed by boeuf and the chocolate mousse. All perfectly cooked with good flavours . On reflection I might have chosen something other than the steak and chanterelles as although good was perhaps not the best and I should have been more adventurous. Excellent service and a reasonably priced half bottle of red Sancerre . All in all good well priced French cuisine. I would not hesitate to return if ever in the area again .

9.5/10If you see the restaurant on the outside it doesn’t look very attractive, but it really is a great place. Very good traditional French cuisine with honest local products. I had the rognons (kidneys) which were absolutely delicious. Friendly staff eventhough the restaurant was full and they were very busy, but they always served the dishes with a nice remark. We recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly!

8.5/10This is a classic family run restaurant on a street away from the main square where most eateries are situated . The decor and atmosphere are a bit dated but it’s none the worse for that : it makes no apology for its old fashioned warm and welcoming atmosphere . There are three short menus of regional specialties including foie gras, veal, beef and a fish dish , prepared and presented appealingly with delicate flavours . Desserts to die for .

9/10We arrived at the location, thinking we got the address wrong. It’s a weird location for a restaurant, on a busy/ish road and in a residential area. Inside, the deco is a bit dated but it gave it some charm. We were welcomed by a lovely lady in rapid French. Our highschool French came in handy - although rusty - and along with a translation App, we managed to decipher the menu, which was short, luckily. And then for the food.... omg this is rightly so high in the ranks of Tripadvisor. Just how we love it: good ingredients executed to perfection. I had the gamba’s and filet of seabas and my husband the gooseliver pate and a filet of pork. Our girls had chickenfilet, - which is very hard to get right, even for a top chef - but these were juicy and tasted amazing with the jus. Good fries, kids happy. We can really really recommend this place. Lovely people, lovely food. Oh and deserts: go and try yourself.
