10/10Mamma Gina restaurant was excellent the food was outstanding service attentive but not overwhelming and no rush ... the Florence fillet steak was absolutely amazing would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Florence.

5.5/10Food was okay, not bad but definitely could have been better in my opinion, idk the bread we were given didn’t come with any oil or salt, the mamma pasta was good I felt the pasta was a bit stiff my other half got the ravioli with the cherry tomato sauce it was good but nothing spectacular we didn’t have a huge meal maybe we would have been more impressed with main courses, staff was very friendly but we wouldn’t go back and was a bit disappointed

9.5/10Visited Mamma Gina on my first trip to Florence in 1985 and have been back many times. Two blocks from the Ponte Vecchio, it tends to attract more locals than tourists.

4/10This trattoria is supposedly part of the much admired '50's cooking tradition of Tuscan cuisine in Florence...sadly now its its not even a shadow of what it may have been once. I had been here many years ago & I wasn't impressed then .. so why go back ? I'd noticed recently the menu listing outside included an old fav of mine that has gone way, way out of fashion.., CANNELLONI! So out to lunch today I went > firstly it isn't cooked as described on the menu ..listed as a beef dish ..it was something resembling aged leftover spinach & ricotta..with a very ordinary meat sauce ON TOP. CANNELONI is traditionally stuffed pasta tubes, oven-baked in a sugo sauce.. I was presented with a pair of reheated stale & sagging tubes of limp "something" .. so soft & overcooked they more resembled tired crepes being regrettably represented than fresh pasta shapes with any taste or texture ..a shamefully lazy --& very expensive disgrace priced at a whopping E17! Thank goodness for Fork -30%!
