10/10Wonderful. Food was great and amazing value for money. I couldn't eat it all as so much and I can eat a great deal! I had a vegetarian mix of 6 dishes on injira bread for just £12. Very friendly guy serving too. Will recommend to everyone!

9.5/10Ethiopian food is so unlike any other cuisine but so worth exploring - delicious and authentic here at Marathon, with spicy stewed meats and vegetables and plenty of injera (pancakes, but more than) to eat with them. For first-timers, it's definitely worth ordering a selection (mahberawi) and trying a little of everything. It's a little surreal to leave the gritty Caledonian Road and find yourself surrounded by the smell of incense and delicious freshly-roasted coffee. Our friends absolutely loved it.

9/10First impressions of this small corner restaurant were perhaps not aa good as they could be. It doesn’t look much like the website. But it’s clearly a place that is popular with locals, large groups of young people and also couples. The service was brilliant. I’m a coeliac and they quickly checked that gluten free products were available. I was absolutely confident they knew what they were talking about. They were happy to give recommendations too. The food was plentiful and very good and full of flavour - we didn’t quite manage to eat everything. The bill was extremely reasonable.

9.5/10Delicious vegan platter for 2 and we were very happy that gluten-free injera was available. Amazing value too. Only lost 1 star on ambience as there was a flickering light that was a bit distracting.

10/10I wanted to try and make a scene with my friend yesterday, and we decided to try a marathon after hearing good reviews. It was amazing and lived up to expectations. The staff was very friendly and helped in advising on what to order, and the ambience was also charming for Friday.
