Visited for my mother’s birthday, had a table booked from 2pm. From before we even sat down we were made to feel very welcome. The serving staff were particularly good, going the extra mile given the occasion. The food was good quality and well priced. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
I messaged the restaurant about our experience but sadly did not recieve a reply We celebrated my friend's birthday here Chips cold Sauce cold When I complained I was just told Chef can't R heat! ! Such a simple thing to get right in such a well done establishment Our cocktail had no ice in it Will not be returning due to the lack of customer service
Not as good as previous visits, food not as good and not enough staff, when we wanted the bill there was no staff in sight for 10 minutes. Effort on food and presentation is poor now, plates not warmed etc. That said the sticky toffee pudding was nice.
I booked a cream tea for the 25 2 20, for my daughters birthday. I booked it on line, and requested for who serves us to wish my daughter a happy 30th birthday. I was very disappointed on the day as no one did. The small details are very important, and this would have been the icing on the cake. The young lady that served us was excellent in every other way. The cream tea was lovely. snowing outside, and just as cold inside due to air conditioning. Nice location, but my view was some workmen.
Went with family. Had a lovely time. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks
An enjoyable experience
Prawn cocktail starter was bland small prawns not many of them and tasteless Steaks were nice, onion rings greasy Desert sticky toffee pudding light but did not resemble sticky toffee pudding at all not very tasty, and no gigs as in original recipe
Good food and great friendly service.
Excellent service, friendly staff lovely place to dine out with the right company. ??????booking
Overpriced & trading on the name.Have had better for less money.
We had afternoon te in the Electric Bar, the customer service was excellent from the gentleman and the lady , and the food was excellent , a good selection of sandwiches , and a good selection of sweet selection .we would definitely visit again.
Steak was incredible
Service and food was absolutely amazing as always. Cannot fault the food and presentation and staff were friendly, polite and attentive.
Excellent food and service
The staff were very professional and polite. We booked in for afternoon tea with Presseco, although it was a nice experience we were a little disappointed with the quantities, we are not big eaters but even we left feeling hungry, plenty of cakes and sweet things but we literally had three sandwiches each......when I say three it was three little slices of sandwiches, we would have been pleased with more sandwiches and less cake!
Fast service top quality food and staff great we will be back
Awful!! Just awful!! The service was shocking!! We had to wait nearly an hour before our starters arrived and mine was basically a whole plateful of beetroot with hardly any goats cheese!! Before that we were given 8 olives to share between the table to which we had to pay £3.95 and we had asked for bread not olives!! We should of known it was going to be a disaster as the table next to us got fed up of waiting and left and hardly anyone else seemed to be eating, when the restaurant wasn’t that busy. The Mains were even worse- the steak was a Butchers Choice ( due to that being the only steak we could have as our daughter had treated us to a voucher!!) not sure which Butcher would choose to eat this steak- it was teeny tiny, Charred and definitely not medium rare as we had asked for them ( we didn’t send them back due to the time we had to wait and we were all starving!) The 10 chips that accompanied them and 3 vine tomatoes were ok!! We didn’t stay for dessert as it was getting so late!! Overall so disappointing and we had looked forward to this night for a while as we very rarely get time to go out as a couple and we had also bought with us our American relatives. We were bought this for our Christmas present and feel very sad that the night was ruined.
I was given a table close to the window, as requested at the time of booking, which gave a great view of Lincoln Cathedral and the lights of the "up hill area". The food was good for me but the curry my guest selected was a little bland. Service was good and the staff were attentive with being obtrusive.
Staff really friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious!!
Afternoon tea was lovely.
