Wonderful food and a wonderful view. We went for the 7-course tasting menu and switched a couple of dishes with the 5-course tasting menu as we preferred the sound of them. Service was very friendly, though we had to ask specifically about the tasting menus as we weren’t offered these. Also the service was painfully slow at times - close on an hour between the meat course and the dessert. Highly recommended - the food was very tasty and beautifully presented.

Out third Christmas lunch at the Maricel, excellent yet again the food was fantastic and the staff very helpful. The setting is always amazing and the weather was great so we were lucky enough to be able to eat outside. All 8 of us had a great time

Blev mkt dåligt bemött av personalen ikväll då vi hade bokat bord. Blev erbjudna att sitta och äta inomhus eftersom vi ”bokat bordet för sent” (1h innan). Hemsk service, noll flexibilitet. Kan inte rekommendera denna restaurang tyvärr pga låg flexibilitet och lösningsorientering från personalen.

Stunning setting overlooking the sea. We went for lunch on the terrace. We had the papaya and mango salad with crispy shrimp in harissa sauce. The sauce was bland but the salad was good.

Unfortunately we were really disappointed in this restaurant! We chose it as a treat to celebrate ohr engagement and it was just not great. The service was terrible, we waited around 10 mins to order drinks (i had to flag someone down), then around 15 minutes later a waitress asked what we wanted to order not realizing we hadn’t even been given menus yet! From then we began to notice more attentiveness to the other clients which we thought was strange and quite rude. An hour and a half since our arrival and our starters still hadn’t arrived, this was just mussels to share. Tried to flag someone down for ages but seemed to busy topping up other clients wine glasses etc. eventually we speak to someone and ask about our starter and she said hopefully it would be done soon. Another 10 minutes pass and we tell the next waiter we will he cancelling our order it was now 10:30pm (arrived at 8:30pm) and no starter. Miraculously our mussels appear 2 minutes after we said this, they were quite bland. Mains arrive around 10 minutes after this unfortunately super disappointed in the steak, somehow had zero taste! So unfortunate as it was the most expensive thing on the menu essentially! Accompanied by watery rice, really missed the mark. Would not recommend and disappointed that our engagement dinner was so terrible and we were treated like this. I don’t believe they did it on purpose but we were literally being ignored over other clients, possibly their hotel guests.

Let me say the positives - the view, the location are world class...and, there are no negatives, only tastes....we felt the food could be a little better..nothing wrong...but no boundaries being pushed or flavours sensational...good quality food but not exceptional. was it good for an anniversary, yes of course, but I think maybe the menu needs to be smaller with more effort put into the taste of less, but better dishes.

The ambiance and views are amazing, on the terrace of a luxury boutique hotel overlooking the sea. The food is not cheap, but with the Fork discount was good value. Portion sizes are very small. but that was to be expected. The presentation is very impressive but the flavour fell slightly short. Service was mixed; one lady waitress who was lovely and one male waiter who was a bit rude and quite short with us. They also forgot to apply the Fork discount when the bill arrived and we had to ask for them to recalculate.

Very good service and the food was excellent. However, because of Covid measures we had to eat outside, which was fine for us but the hotel had made no provision for the fact it might be windy or raining, and it ended up being both. We had to move tables a couple of times as my family and I were so cold and then wet. It was a shame the hotel had not looked into outside heating and rain protection like most other bars and restaurants have done at the moment. But the food really was fantastic and the staff very very attentive.
