Todas was my second time at marius. Its an amazing place with great ambiance and decor, a ver high quality testing menu, not only very ample but consistent in time and of high quality. With great service, and an excellent wine cellar. Make sure you save space for a petition gateau for dessert.
It was the first time for me at this restaurant. The service was a bit fast at the beginning but ok at the end. The fish and the octopus was a too salty. There isn’t any Tuna sashimi but only salmon. I have a good time anyway. I hope my commentary could help. Sincerely, Denis
Food was even better as my first visit in 2017 (I am from Germany). The rodizio service I did not remember from first visit. Quality of the fish and seafood was excellent, even the linguica. We did not take meet as we came for fish but good for people who does not want fish all evening. The Oisters we liked a lot, my wife was not too familiar with but very excited. Excellent service team, fast and friendly.
Absolutely amazing. The food is top quality. Go hungry - so much available! The wine is divine, the service is 5 star and the food is star standard.
Wonderful god and service / don’t eat before you go! Brilliant thank you - long lunch then go sit in the beach - perfect! Thanks
Best place of Rio
It was a good dinner! Thank you. See you next time. We
One of the best restaurants I’ve visited while in Rio. Fresh sea foods and freshly cooked all the time. The pirate theme really made the ambience soooo cool .
Fantastic food, service and wine menu. Went here for dinner. I usually steer clear of anything buffet but was dragged here by a friend. I was not disappointed. The starter buffet on offer was of a very high quality, fresh and of a high standard. The men’s toilets however are a bit confusing. A bit too arty farty for me. I wasn’t sure which was the urinal and which was the sink as all seemed to be filled with ice, sliced limes and rocks? Overall an excellent dining experience though and I will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone visiting Rio ????
Very good restaurant, unusual, creative, very tasty. Not cheap, but worth it.
I have been here 10 years ago on my last visit to Rio. It was good than - even better now. Glad I remembered about it. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere.
Food was great, really worth the price. Service was good. Atmosphere was excellent. Been traveling around Brazil and find that this is place is good value for money to sample local cuisine and seafood at a very reasonable price.
If ever in Rio de Janiero, this place is a must visit especially if you love Mediterranean Brazilian seafood and churrasqueira kinda cuisine. The sheer ambiance and decor of this restaurant is eye catching and mesmerizing ????????
Very interesting way to taste lits of dishes. Only down side was that we did not get offered all the dishes as our table neibors did. Not sure why. Still glad we went
As well reviewed as this restaurant was we went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, it was a complete let down. The decor is eclectic and the staff serving the food were very friendly, these were the only things the numerous 5star reviews were right about. What thise reviews didn’t mention was that the food was extremely disappointing, especially considering it was R230 per person, and that did not include any drinks. The salad bar had lots of options but none of them were amazing, at best they were okay. The meat and seafood was the biggest disappointment. The fish was always overcooked, the several different types of steaks had no seasoning, and were occasionally overcooked(we learned to ask for the rarer sections and the servers were happy to give us those portions). The dessert section was also disappointing, the cheeses offered were subpar and the dessert were “meh” at best. It was mostly jellies and puddings, with all the wonderful desserts that brazil is known for you’d think they would incorporate them, but they seemed to choose the cheapest options available. My dining partner stated the best thing there was the Nutella and it was straight from the jar. The saddest part of this trip was the fact that the best food we had from them, was the crawfish, and it was just okay. The price certainly did not guarantee good food, and we left disappointed. When we looked around the restaurant no one else looked especially happy with the food. The table behind us was obviously disappointed as well. We had better steak at a hole in the wall place near our hotel and it was R30. I would suggest saving your money, and hitting up a local spot, you’ll find the food properly seasoned and much more reasonable in price.
The food here is so so. The view is ok. It is good if u only come to the restaurant once. I won’t come to there the second time. Hope it is useful for your choice.
Excellent! The place you should never miss when you’re in Rio. The atmosphere is amazing and the Staff is amazing. The food selections span the seafood realm and the meat is wonderful too! Very nice.
Just great! We had a lovely dinner and also a cool chat with Marius directly. Excellent!
I was thinking this place would be upscale with amanzing food. Instead it was super over priced, crowded and trashy. The food way mediocre. There are much better choices for less money.
The food at Marius was excellent. The buffet was very rich and flavorful with a large variety. The waiters who pass around with the meat and fish seems to concentrate more on fish rather than meat. The meat is already cut into pieces so it does not give you the real feel of a Brazilian churrascaria. The ambiance was very lively and the decor of the place was very interesting. The dessert buffet was far less interesting than the food. It was just fruits, cheeses and cups of either chocolate mousse or other layered trifles, not much of a variety. One thing they should definitely change is the music . The music made the place feel less authentic and more commercial. Songs played in the background were hits by Ed sheeran, U2 and at some point the sound of musical dinner ! All in all it was a very interesting experience and the food was great.
Do not eat anything the day you go. Eat slowly and enjoy each dish . Make sure you taste the Brazilian meals in the pots as well as the cold dishes. Then try all the meats and shellfish.
Even a bit expensive for a local restaurant, it worthed every dollar spent. You can eat seafood as much as you love it! Return soon for sure
Best restaurant in Rio. Buffet to die for. Various meats, fish and seafood served continuously at the tables. Plenty of waiters always attentive. Maybe be they could improve on the desserts by having artisan gelato available?
Came in Friday night for dinner and the place lived up to expectations. The appetizers consisted of a variety of things including sushi, sashimi, ceviche, oysters, and other vegetable dishes. There was also paella, rice and beans, potatoes, and other stewed meats. In true churrasceria style the waiters came out with all types of meat and fish including pichana, baby beef, ribeye, white fish, salmon, shrimp. My only knock is that not all the waiters came to my table such as the lobster. I also saw no chicken and that would be good to add. Overall, good food and great service.
Must visit restaurant if you are in Rio. Super attentive service. Tasty food. High quality meet, seafood. Good wine list. We enjoy our dinner very much. Thank you for wonderful Cachaça
Tourist trap No locals Very bad service Do not fall for it Fixed price per person so not much you can complain about because repeat customers are no expected since it’s a place for tourists
Ambience was wonderful, and top rate service. Dish quality varied between very good and disappointing.
Amazing place with outstanding food. Definitely recommend.
Great Food and Lots of It. The Service was top notch also. Very interesting Decor throughout. Definitely coming back.
Perfect place to enjoy meat and seafood. Excellent déserts and the staff is brillant! I was really suprised by the atmosphere and restrooms is an attraction a part!
Excellent experience both in atmosphere and quality of food.
Food quality was good, although the price wasn‘t reflected in what they served. There were a lot of good-tasting, yet relatively cheap meat cuts from fish and beef. Only one serving of shrimp and crab in 1,5 hrs. There was a constant, horrendous smell of toilet-cleaner. The setting is awesome, the service was out of this world good, albeit very hectic. If the service turns down a notch, and the serving of seafood would be adapted to the price, it would be a recommendation. Up to this point, tourist trap.
Food, staff, vibe is excellent. Top restaurant. Best feed in Brazil. Will definitely come back again, accompanied with friends. The tender meats will be remembered.
Really quirky restaurant with very friendly staff. The food choices are incredible and brilliant value for money from top quality steak to oysters, sushi and so many desserts.
