10/10Everything was excellent from the food to the waiter, and you could feel like the food had been made for years. Not too much noise too, this is the perfect place to enjoy your time and have a scrumptious meal.

About the restaurant
"NORTHERN RED SEA - You will find the Eritrean specialty restaurant Massawa just behind Gare de l'Est. Open for lunch and dinner during weekdays, it will make you discover original and delicious cuisine in a simple setting decorated with African objects.
RITUALS OF TABLE - Here, the principle is simple: a tray for an entire table and no place settings... You have several options: cut the waffles placed at your disposal into small pieces in order to dig into the dishes or more basically eat with your fingers.
DISHES TO BE TESTED - Start with a lentil salad, continue with the Massawa and its vegetables in a salad. And to reset your emotions (spices are always measured according to your taste), you can enjoy fresh fruit salad for dessert!
On Saturday, May 24 and Tuesday, June 3, the restaurant offers that you participate in the vigils of Massawa during dinner. The principle is simple: two comedians will come to your table present a brief text belonging to Eritrean literature to you. The gourmet menu reinforced by a literary menu, Massawa invites you to a culinary and cultural trip.
Usual promotions apply and you can thank the actors by sliding your donation in the aghelghel, this conical, woven palm leaf basket that keeps your food hot, if you want to."
