Tucked away off the main path to the grand beach, Max feels like a refined retreat. Beautiful antiques inside and a nice outside dining space as well. We were at a little table under the trees, protected when it started to rain a little and everyone else had to go inside. Food was incredible: classic local dishes prepared flawlessly! Service was quick and efficient. They were all good about answering menu questions and making suggestions. A perfect date night dinner experience! Very romantic and intimate.

We went for my wife's birthday and the restaurant did a good job of surprising her by putting a candle on our dessert and singing happy birthday, she loved it! The special starter of scallops was the best we've ever had and the truffle pasta was also really good. For dessert we had a local Positano dish of apple pie and ice cream and it was absolutely delicious.

We had an excellent mid day meal. The food was fantastic. The stuffed calamari and zucchini were excellent as well as the tagliolini with scampi and black truffles. The sea bass was perfect. Great wine selection. Great service! Perfect place to eat in Positano.

Highly recommended by a friend and this restaurant did not disappoint. Food was fresh and delicious, excellent recommendations for wine, service was amazing and ambience was superb. What a great night.

Our meal was incredible - caprese salad to start and I had scallops on arugula which were the best scallops I have ever had. Desert was very well plated and delicious. Only negative is that we needed to ask for bread. Food was absolutely excellent!!

Beautiful atmosphere and charming ambience. Scallops special was delicious and the food and wine were very good. Service was a bit disorganized, we were asked by two different staff for our drink and food order. A delightful dinner in Positano. We especially enjoyed sitting on the terrace with the pretty flowers, twinkle lights and sea views

Best attentive service in amalfi coast. Food and wine were fantastic. Decor is very unique and had a blast. Server was very helpful with picking out local regional wines. Great experience

A special experience with super staff. Food just divine and best scallops every had and we are from Cornwall. A real must. A good choice on menu with a variety of pricing. Not cheap

The best spaghetti alle vongole I’ve had in a while. Delicious food and wine. Great atmosphere and service. Will totally come again on my next trip back to the Amalfi coast.
