Extremely slow service…..not enough staff…..waited 10 minutes for a glass of water ….water jugs looked dirty……staff need more training especially on customer service!!!!!

They were short staffed on the day the waiter kept telling everyone there was only two members of staff working in the restaurant we counted 3 ! Service was terrible we had no tea spoons with our tea and coffee never offered a refill ! Had to wait ages for glasses of water . This was part of a spa package I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant !

The food was bland the atmosphere was no good cups were dirty and the floor sticky for a spa it was lacking the restaurant needs a good paint and some decor felt like a waiting room would not recommend..

Wouldn’t recommend purely for afternoon tea. Served in the same area as all the spa guests which is odd when you are fully dressed! Conservatory stuffy and very noisy. Crockery very canteen like. Staff friendly but shabby appearance. Could do with ensuring shirts ironed and flies fully done up. Not a sophisticated experience for the price.

Such a shame, a couple of things were disappointing: - restaurant area was cold; - I asked for the full English breakfast with no baked beans, instead of giving me extra of another ingredient, my plate looked empty, not quite enough food for the price paid; Please look into this and clarify if a voucher as compensation towards my next visit is possible?

Was booked in for 3pm, got there early, was offered our tea as we waited. No tablecloths or anything on table to make it a special occasion! 3.35 we had to ask where our cakes were? We had been forgotten! Offered a glad of Prosecco as an apology, our reason for this treat was for my daughter in laws baby shower treat, she couldn’t drink the Prosecco. Tge take away boxes were take away plastic tubs, not nice cake carriers! The venue was cold and very uninviting. Would never return!!!!

The afternoon tea was nice and filling and a take home box was provided. Overall a good experience and the grounds look lovely. Would have been better if the table had a nice table cover suitable for an afternoon tea ambience.

Very nice, can’t really fault the setting but be mindful there are people walking around in just towelling robes! The afternoon tea was good, but the best I’ve had but not the worst either! Food was nice especially the cakes. Would be nice to have a broader range of teas- I had to ask for any variations on just “tea or coffee”! Also how about loose leaf instead of tea bags? Nothing bad to comment on though

Maxine’s at Bannantyne spa has a captive audience but is not complacent, a variety of food and bar drinks available, both really good (although not sure the £2 per meal spa day levy is entirely fair) Otherwise a pleasant place to dine with views over the landscaped garden a bonus. Would visit again.
