The food was good. Had the set menu paired with wine. Sometimes we had to wait for the food. Sometimes we had to wait for wine. Timing wasn’t their forte. The wine explanations were a bit hard to understand and felt like a bit of an afterthought. If you are staying at the Mayfair it’s convenient but it’s four stars trying to be five stars.

Breakfast buffet is underwhelming. Very small selection and not always replaced when empty. Decent quality but nothing special, the same Breakfast buffet you'll find at any 3 star hotel but at twice the price.

Of you are yet to taste or afraid of oysters this is the place to break the calling. I did and am now in love. The lamb cooked to perfection ..definitely a place to take someone if you want to impress

We asked for quiet table and they provided. Very impressed all round. We could talk amongst seven of us which we wanted. Food top class. My beef wellington was a big serve for older female.

Okay but expensive for what you get. Staff were good. Layout of restaurant not the most inviting as we were close to the kitchen door and where patrons and staff enter from. Fine dining prices but in my opinion not fine dining.

The Rosemarie sauce for the prawn cocktail was far too hot and not like Rosemarie sauce, ran out of plain bread ,and brought one of the desserts long after the meal was finished and two of the party had already left the table.very disappointed considering how expensive it was

Great little restaurant but they need to look at the cost of their sparkling water at $9 a 500ml bottle it is very very expensive and the waiter didn’t inform us prior to pouring.

It is very rare that a hotel restaurant is memorable... in a positive way! My dinner at the Mayflower is incredible! The hot Roquefort soufflė was wonderfully light and fluffy, the Roquefort subtle and enticing. The Beef Wellington surpassed my wildest expectations!... probably the most flavoursome and tender beef i have had in years!... served medium rare, the jus perfectly complemented the beef... slightly sweet but loaded with flavour. The staff were a delight... professional, attentive and personable. 10/10 guys! A secluded basement paradise...

I found food and ambiance was lovely. My only concern was, with it being a High Tea for children, the staff could have interacted with the children, welcomed them, made them feel a bit special, and commented on their dress up costumes. None of this was done with the children, and this was disappointing.

The Mayflower is certainly one of the best dining options in Adelaide. The food is wonderful - we had the 6 course degustation. Every course was just superb. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and is a joy to dine in. The Mayflower is one of those places where you can dress up and have a great evening.

Nice setting. Waited a long time for initial service even though not busy. The tuna salad and ceaser salad were ok at best. Not properly Dressed. The tuna salad not large enough for a main. Dessert service took ages and the cakes didn’t seem like todays. I’ve been to the mayflower before and couldn’t fault it. This unfortunately wasn’t a great experience
