10/10A beautiful European style restaurant with wait staff that are highly professional and attentive. The menu covered the very wide range of preferences in my family, including a vegetarian, a meat lover and my elderly parents - everyone enjoyed their food. Lovely ambience and great view of Hyde Park from our table. Highly recommended.

10/10I was taken to dinner here 15 years ago and found it excellent. I no longer live in Sydney, but am here for a brief visit and managed to find it again. It is an absolutely superb restaurant in the Italian tradition. First-class food well designed and impeccably presented. A very recondite but well chosen wine list. Prices below average for this quality. Bravissimo!

8.5/10Mazzaro is a place I'll definitely be returning to. The staff efficient in their service; providing top quality service without abundant pleasantries but still maintaining a friendly tone. Meals were served quickly and the meat mains we had were cooked delightfully. Entrees and sides were portioned well, and tasty.

8/10I imagine Mazzaro is a Sydney institution. Service was remarkable but not intrusive. My choice of SA sardines followed by beef cheeks a good balance. Both cooked to perfection. I should have ordered a side dish with beef cheeks as it lacked ‘colour’, so I take the blame for that. Presentation was a little unimaginative, & venue was a little tired, but I was there for a solo early dinner & it ticked all the boxes. Bravo to the host & waitperson.

Best kept secret Tucked away near Sydney's Museum station, the warm ambience, delicious food and excellent service ensure a memorable dining experience at Mazzaro Restaurant. Mazzaro, adjacent to Hyde Park, is known for its relaxed, welcoming and elegant atmosphere and friendly, professional service. The wine list is extensive and the chefs really know how to give customers a heavenly experience. As an entrée you can try the deliciously crunchy and flavoursome garlic bread, with just the right sprinkling of herbs. Both the barramundi and the ravioli are big favourites and have made many punters happy. You may want to follow with fresh chocolate truffles or the dessert tasting plate full of intricately crafted delicacies, dark chocolate fudge or toffee pieces. The honeycomb marshmallow ice cream cake is layered, with a short bread base and served with sour jelly, blueberries, strawberries and custard. Best dish: duck ravioli with white wine and wasabi sauce
