5/10Booking made online at 18.05 for 19.45 and accepted. When arriving informed booking not registered as they stop looking at website at 18.00?. Lady out front more than accommodating and accepted the booking and did manage to find us a table and was very professional throughout. Eat at Melrose regularly over the years but doesn't seem to have kept up to previous standars. My meal to be honest was good although side salad would have been better with some tomatoes and onions rather than just chopped lettuce/cabbage. The wife’s chicken was tough and most of it was pushed to one side. When mentioned to manager reply was if told sooner he would have brought another one and promptly left no apologies. After paying left waiting for change which never arrived although only small should never be assumed as tip. Decided cut our losses and leave.

5/10Such a difference to the normal experience at Melroses. We made a reservation online but when we arrived at the restaurant at 7.30pm they had no record of it. We were seated and our food order was taken within ten minutes……..so far so good. then we waited for our starters……and we waited, and we watched. People sitting at the table next to us left after waiting a long time for their food. Still we waited. Another couple sent their pizzas back as they were not what they had ordered. they then also left. And still we waited. we asked our waitress twice if she could check on our starters, and she was surprised to learn we didn’t get them. she went to the kitchen and came back to say they would be with us in a minute. At 8.20 p.m. we finally got our starters, which we ate. The food was ok and at that stage we were starving. We each ordered steaks for our main course and they came in reasonable time and to be fair they were excellent. Melrose’s is a favourite of ours when we visit Tenerife but on this occasion it was not the usual standard.

8.5/10Upon arrival, the service was good, orders were taken from us quickly. The drinks arrived incredibly quickly, the food was very tasty. Waiting for bills was very unpleasantly long, this part left a very bad impression. But I still praise the quality of the food.

4.5/10Ive eaten here on several occasions and have to say that my 1st couple of times, my food was delicious and the tall gentleman with glasses was very attentive. The last 3 times have steadily gone downhill. The older ladies in there are rude to say the least. I ate here with 3 other adults and one time the service was so bad that a couple who arrived at the same time had eaten their food before our order was even taken....we left. I went to give them another try and the mussels were cold and finally, on our last visit, the vegetables were cold. Three strikes and out I'm afraid.

6.5/10We arrived didnt have our booking down lady at door fab got us sat down immediately 35 mins later no offer of drinks of food request taken 45 mins later order for food and drinks taken. 10 mins later drinks arrived. Followed by starter had to ask for cutlery the waiter was very abrupt with us. Mains arrived had to wait for cuttlery again. Food lovely but not very hot All the waiting spoilt our mood and meal experience. I dont mind waiting but they should make sure people have a drink during the long wait

3.5/10After asking staff for a replacement salt due to it being blocked the waitress told me I didn’t know how to use it , she then proceeded to bang the-salt pot on the table after which she showed me that some had come out onto her hand which she then brushed off her palm onto my meal !

4.5/10The sirloin steak was cold, without spices and chewy. Overorganized personnel, passed by only focused on their business, not noticing the customer. Not good enough for the price.

9.5/10Not been back to this restaurant for 3 years. I had forgotten how big the portions were. Food was absolutely delicious but next time we will share a couple of pasta dishes and maybe a pizza. Keep up the good work.

5/10We booked our table according to the website no tables were available after 615 do we booked 615. On arrival no table was booked! We wondered round the restaurant and eventually shown to a table and asked to be next to a heater and we were. Unfortunately the only heater that had run out of gas was ours so we were cold . The food was ok it was expensive and nothing special . It was valentines and my birthday but there was no atmosphere for the special day. Disappointed

6/10T bone steak was not great quality, fillet was separate so came from different animal. Fillet was excellent unlike sirloin which was not same quality

2/10Turned up and was advised that they did not have the reservation and tried to turn us away. Advised I wasnt happy anyway we were left to stand around for 15 mins then shown to a table and the lady apologised and said that they had not received the online booking. Food was awful and tasteless was a waste of money
