The dishes are all amazing! We are vegetarians and still got a whole lot of choices. We love the papadam and the 3 sauces, and the lassi are just so tasty. The portions of our main course - curry (w/ cottage cheese and Indian cheese) are big enough for us to feel very full. We had them with naan and rice (plus 1 extra naan). They all taste great! Definitely worth the price! The service is great and we feel very comfortable and welcomed. The restaurant is so clean, and it's also very quiet even when there were other tables of guests. We surely will come again!

Once we walked in the door the smell of amazing food was intoxicating! The owner greeted us with a smile. We ordered only ordered appetizers because we were hopping around trying different places. Their sampler was amazing and had great portions. If you ask nicely the owner will sing Bollywood songs for you. This is a must try.

My partner and I wanted Indian food but weren’t that hungry, so we tried a new place offering 50% off via Fork. We ordered 1 appetizer, 1 curry, 1 garlic naan, and 1 rice, but the owner#1 said it wasn’t “enough” and forced us to order 2 curries minimum (odd, but fine). We realized the curries came with naan and rice, so we cancelled our side orders. The waiter laughed under his breath, making us uncomfortable. While waiting, owner #2 loudly burped nearby. Afterward, he came to our table & pushed us to order drinks, claiming it was “the right thing to do” since we had a discount. He asked repeatedly, even after we declined. Eventually, my partner gave in, but I didn’t want one. The waiter kept pressing, making me feel very uncomfortable. He asked me another 6 times in the span of 20 minutes. When I told him that he is making me uncomfortable, he argued with me! I felt unsafe & shocked by the behaviour of the staff, which I think was the owner. Why do they treat customers like this?

This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. Always a friendly welcome and food is authentic without being too spicy. Price / quality ratio is very good.
