About the restaurant Mercado Merced

After waiting in front of the restaurant section for a while and staff keep walking past us we got the attention of a staff member. Told her we booked through TheFork and we where seated in the restaurant section.

It felt a bit like being at a shopping mall food court for a quick bite, not a restaurant feeling.

Next to us sat a couple with a crying baby and instead of taking the baby for a walk, the mother played loud music on the phone ('The wheels of the bus...' on repeat) and staff allowed this to happen. She also kept shaking the pram vigorously, which couldn't have been healthy.

All the food we had was good, but nothing stood out or surprised me.

If you like a quick bite and play loud music on your phone, this is the place. The restaurant section only plus side is, somebody gets you your food for you. I suggest the owners to create a better atmosphere for the restaurant part, so people have more reasons to come back.
