10/10Excellent chicken burger - v tender, juicy, charred, great sauce. Would come back just for this. Our server was lovely. All the servers were lovely. I'd just request that they'd be a bit more attentive to their customers especially given it was a nearly empty restaurant.

6.5/10We had a Sunday roast. The service was basically off. Messy and confuse. I didn't complain because I was embarrassed for them. The food was ok nothing special. The could improve easily.

4/10Tip for the future: if I’ve asked during the booking process to sit inside, and we end up sitting outside we probably won’t be happy. If food is average and cold we won’t be happy. So when we took the discretionary service charge off I would say we weren’t being unreasonable. We took it off to instead leave a different amount in cash. After paying at the bar, another waitress came out to ask if we were ready to pay. My sister kindly said that we already had, and the waitress, in front of the rest of the restaurant, asked why we took of the discretionary service charge. It seemed she approached us with this agenda, not realising we were happy to say why. So sadly, she lost out on the cash tip we were going to leave. I think that sort of behaviour really confirms our choice not the leave the optional tip.

10/10Second time going to Merchant & Weaver for Sunday Roast…and I’ll definitely go back there again. Food is really good, and packed with lots of flavour. Service is also outstanding…casual, unfussy restaurant with a nice & relaxed vibe….and they never rush you. Can’t wait to be there again!

4.5/10This restaurant was urban looking, pleasant on entry, The Cocktails were the best we have had Pina Colada’s, The starter was lovely Tiger Prawns in Garlic butter I would have liked a roll of a piece of bread The main was awful, disappointing and spoilt my birthday meal Lamb cutlets should have been medium well and well done , 1 was burnt to a cinder, the other was burnt but not as bad, We should have sent them straight back, but was shocked that they even served them, our moths were left with a burnt taste, we then had to complain, and was told 2 meal would be taken off the bill, so as not to make a scene we accepted and sent most of the food back, We would only visit again for cocktails

7.5/10We enjoyed the cocktails and ordered lots of the small-plate starters to share which were all delicious! The staff were lovely but there probably needed to be a couple more servers available as they were extremely busy. We’ll definitely go back….

6/10We reserved upon the recommendation for a catch-up amongst old friends. It was almost impossible to hear each other speak and other patrons were lighting their cigarettes inside. Our server disappeared for an hour after serving us our first round of drinks, only after walking arm in arm with a patron into the toilets. The food was good. The drinks were good. But honestly, I have never seen service so slow even in a packed restaurant, which this was not. I understand that illness happens, people sometimes don’t show up for shifts, especially when hospitality jobs pay so little. But the owner, the manager etc. should have been there to pick up the slack and assist their employees if there had been so many call outs that would affect service that badly. We would have ordered more drinks, more food, spent more money, had there been staff to take our orders.

7/10Food was fine and good portion. The place was freezing cold. Not the staff’s fault I’m sure but it was absolutely freezing, we had coats on and everything the entire time which is difficult to eat with. They also forgot the 20% off :(
