Stunning Turkish food! And it's the perfect place to go with friends so you can try the whole menu. Tonight we came with local friends and shared everything. The best way to start is with the outstanding dips - hummus and smoked eggplant (charred eggplant, roasted pistachio, Turkish chilli flakes sauce) and soft warm Turkish bread. And we shared for starters: roasted beets (shanklish and goat cheese, hazelnuts, fried mint, vinegar glaze), haloumi (grilled halloumi, roasted walnuts, fig marmalade - orange sauce). Main course was: 2 serves of Kuzu Tandir (Slow-cook lamb leg, veggie şehriye (orzopasta) which wa fantastic - succulent, flavourful (arguably their signature dish) and we had the lamb with some chat potato (Double cooked, feta cream, shallot onion, parsley), and a mezepotamia salad (Wild rocket, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, tulum cheese). Perfect! A small drinks menu with great wines and amazing cocktails. Service led by Jessica was attentive, warm and friendly. And the location in the middle of the Italian Forum transports you to Turkey.

The dips were so fresh! We loved everything about our lunch. Would highly recommend the Shakshouka, Hummus, Eggplant dips with Turkish bread and lamb with orzo. We had a very attentive waitress. Very happy and would definitely return :)

The restaurant is in a beautiful European feel forum . Food is delicious and the price is quite reasonable. The only thing is that you can hear the plane flying above from time to time. Otherwise all good and highly recommended.

We loved this restaurant! The food was great, the location is very nice and the staff was friendly :) The only thing I could suggest is maybe less yogurt in the Turkish ravioli. Otherwise highly recommend this place!

Stunning Turkish food ! Our first visit to Mezepotamia and we'll be back. We felt we were transformed back to Turkey - fantastic. Authentic Turkish food, all fresh and tasty. Warmly welcomed by Jessica who was fantastic all night (and made great cocktails). We shared a range of food - all delicious. For starters: Smoked eggplant dip (baba ganoush) - charred eggplant, roasted pistachio, Turkish chilli flakes sauce served with two large pieces of turkish bread. The turkish bread was warm, crusty with soft inside (and as a result we ordered more) - yum. We also had the grilled halloumi, roasted walnuts, fig marmalade - orange sauce which was served in two pieces (and the turkish bread soaked up any left over sauce) - perfectly cooked and sweet and tasty. For main course we shared the Kuzu Tandir (slow-cook lamb leg, veggie şehriye (orzopasta) which was incredible - the lamb soft, tender and flavourful - and I have to say is a signature dish. And we shared a Mezepotamia salad (wild rocket, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, tulum cheese) which was the perfect accompaniment for the lamb. The location of Mezepotamia is in the square of the Italian Forum in Leichhardt - and it transforms you back to Turkey by creating a great relaxed atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating too which we loved. Free 2hr parking at Secure Parking (if validated). I've already booked our next visit !

Food was exceptionally good . We ordered egg plant dip, shashukha, kebabs. Service was very friendly and helpful. The mocktails limonta and pomegranates were also great .overall would love to visit again

Been here multiple times just can't stop coming back, though we have to drive 50 mins to get there. Food were super tasty and fresh. Excellent service as always and I'm sure I'll come back very soon.

Fantastic food and service! Every dish was amazing. We really enjoyed the meal. Cannot wait to be back. The location was beautiful too, lovely day to have a meal outdoors in the courtyard.

This was our third visit to this neighbourhood gem and we again were impressed by this little restaurant. The menu, while not extensive, is well balanced in the choices and the roasted cauliflower was a lovely veg option for a main or side dish. The spiced Negroni alone is worth a visit. Highly recommend this restaurant also for having plenty of undercover outside seating.

Excellent service. The food was very good, beautifully presented. and felt authentic. Four of us shared dips, two entrees, three mains and one dessert. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere near the square at The Forum. Inside looked very attractive too. It was our first visit but I hope to come again. Highly recommended.

What a gem! We've dined here a few times and it's always delicious. We particularly like the eggplant and prawn starters along with the chicken and lamb for mains. It's worth the extra 2min stroll from Norton St to find this spot. We'll be back.
