Beautiful restaurant with unusual but very tasty combinations of fresh produce. We had fish dishes and all the courses were superb. Impeccable service and very pleasant ambiance. Don’t miss the opportunity!

Excellent in every way. The cuisine is imaginative and beautifully plated. It tastes as good as it looks. The staff is friendly and attentive and Olivia Féval is a genius at matching her husband’s superb food. The modern decor is pleasing to the eye, as well. It’s easy to see why Michelin has bestowed them a star as it’s a world class experience. And the prices are exceedingly affordable for this level of food and service.

If you like meat, the rack of veal is tender and taste good. Squid is also surprising nice. But two fish dish taste bland, I think I can cook better myself. Service is at par for 1 star. No butter or olive oil for bread, kind of weird, our next table also have to ask for olive oil.

Dear mister, thank you for your review. We are very glad to read you enjoy two of the three Dish you ate. Thé one you dislike contrary to what you say, is a very technical and difficult dish to make. but of course, the taste is not debatable and if we can perfectly understand that you did not appreciate it, we would be very impressed if you were able to achieve it yourself! as for the presence of butter or olive oil on the table, it is indeed not systematic, but we obviously offer it to any customer who requests it as you have or see it.

The food and service was great . If they can put table cloth would be better as the table was too ordinary. The main entrance of the restaurant is a a small lane which is not appealing. They might do some decoration outside their restaurant to make it look a bit nicer

Each course at this precious restaurant was a multi-leveled treasure, comprised of layers of flavours, textures and aesthetics. Every bit was memorable... I can hardly remember a meal which provided this type of adventurous journey for all the senses.

Delicious food and a great welcome - staff took time to explain the menu and the choices spoke excellent English and gave us some wonderful wine advice (and wine) - we chose the all fish menu and the monkfish was the best I have ever tasted.

I, and a small group of friends often dine in Michelin star restaurants across Europe and we were looking forward to this one because it had been recommended to us. We know what to expect in terms of standards of food and service. The food was fine, it was served at a quick pace and in order to slow it down we lingered over the cheese. I wonder if this had maybe upset the staff. Perhaps they are working under considerable time pressure but we were out for a leisurely evening and had flown to Aix to enjoy it. The service generally was a bit odd, not quite what we would have expected and I felt an air of resentment from one of the gentlemen. I am not sure exactly at what point the evening went off and it may have had something to do with the language difficulty which I understand, but the standard didn’t meet our expectations. Ordering a peppermint tea seemed to cause a disproportionate problem although we had been able to access it at another restaurant the previous evening. I felt the atmosphere became very cool after that and it could all have been handled better.

Dear sir We are very sorry that you did not inform us of your difficulties during the service. I was myself at the wine service and did not have the time to come and see you as I would have liked. The young man who served you is certainly not bilingual but very attentive to our customers and I think there were some misunderstandings during the evening. As for the mint tea, we did have one, which was offered to you, but it was flavored with bergamot, which did not suit you: I did not think that this disappointment would call into question the whole of your experience. We are in any case very sorry that you did not find with us what you expected.

This place is great! the food was amazing and the service was great. The BIG issue was that on the entre plate (Foie Gras), the chef left a piece of plastic wrap. This obviously affected the overall experience.

We were disappointed in this restaurant, the first time that we're disappointed by a starred place. The food was ok but out of season (mainly cold dishes didn't resonate in near-freezing temperatures + too many pâtés) and the ambiance was also cold and not really engaging. Hopefully they can fix these issues quickly!

From the greeting at the door to the last good bye as we left this was the most wonderful dining experience I have ever had! We ordered the six course tasting menu. Each course was prepared to perfection. The staff was very professional and took the time to carefully explain each course as it was served. I highly recommend this restaurant for when you want to treat yourself to an unforgettable evening.

The overall experience at Michael Feval was good. We chose the fish menu which consisted of three savoury dishes and a pudding (plus the small extra dishes as usual in this type of establishments). The food was well prepared and the presents was careful and visually appealing. We had a bottle of white wine which was of good quality and fairly priced. No real downside. The restaurant is housed in what appears to be an old stone building and so the configuration restricts neighbouring tables. So , quiet and intimate rather than exuberant. We were quite happy with that. Service was prompt and the staff informative.
