Excellent
The food was tasty for what it was. But no special sushi’s or side dishes. The first let down was when we ordered something which they ran out off (even though it wasn’t busy that night and we were the fist in) also a lot of the drinks on the menu were not available. The prices were pretty expensive for what you get. For this price range it was too expensive for what you get, even though it was still tasty but nothing special. I expected a little bit more. The atmosphere was intimate but quite formal. The front of the building did have a curb to enter the building but with some help we could still manage with a manual wheelchair. Conclusion: Ok, but nothing special for this price range.
The food was quite excellent, as was the atmosphere. Not at all rushed through the meal. There were some minor hiccups with what we ordered, though that was due to our lack ability to speak Italian. Overall an excellent experience!
Esperienza interessante
Ottimo
Delicious break from Italian cuisine located on a lovely canal
Both food and service were fantastic!
Fantastic sushi! Great ambience.
Very good sushi, good service and a nice terrace. In all a very satisfying dinner.
Restaurant was easy to get to and with a reservation, we were able to get a table that looks out to the canal. We ordered the tempura (batter was not the light and flaky batter we are use to and it tasted like the shrimp was overdone), salmon sashimi was perfecto, miso soup was average, Mirai salad didn’t have much taste at all, it was just crab meat, amaebi shrimp and seafood put onto a plate, I ended up dipping into the soya sauce to get taste, and last but not the least, our favourite roll was the shrimp tempera and salmon roll. Overall I would come back, but would just stick to basic sashimi as that is what Venice is known for.
Sempre un piacere tornarci!
The sushi was probably some of the best sushi I have ever had. However, this was let down by the drinks and the service. They have two menus, the male and the female one. The female menu has no price on it? The cocktails are not mixed correctly. They are either very strong or not strong enough. The taste of them are not what they should be. There was maybe only three or four tables in when I was there. This could be a really lovely place if they improved their service and drinks. Thanks
Excellent restaurant with great food and great service!! We had the small set menu and we were full and more than satisfied with that. Would definitely come back!
The good: Perfect rice, fresh fish. Probably the best sushi you can find in Venice, it was way above the avaerage in Europe. The bad: This is one of those Western places that thinks it can “improve” on traditional sushi. Don’t get me wrong, most of it was perfect, but some rolls came with a generous helping of Philadelphia cheese dumped on top. Also the sashimi was way too cold. The ugly: Service is so slow that The Fork asked me to review the restaurant before we had ever left, and we didn’t even have dessert or coffee! (I’m writing this as we finish our drinks...). An hour after arriving we had still only had drinks and 1 hand roll each.
Fresh and well prepared. A nice change from a few weeks of Italian cuisine.
Sempre un piacere tornarci
Excellent and authentic Japanese cuisine, from miso soup to algae salad and the very fresh and tasty sushi, maki and sashimi. The Lugane white wine was also first-rate and reasonably priced. Service professional and unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend Mirai, also because of its prime location looking onto the Grand Canal (in summer outdoor dining on the outdoor waterside terrace).
If you are in Venice, you want to eat real sushi, but you fear all the fake chinese parlors, look no further. this small bar facing the Canal Grande would not be out of place among the most fancy joints in Tokyo. the cooking is top notch, the service is corteus and elegant, the atmosphere deserves the name 未来 the world to come. Five stars.
Mirai. Expensive, but it deserves every cents: from the high quality sushi, wines and desserts, from the service very friendly and very dedicated to the clients needs.
