    Mistral was a dining experience unlike any other I’ve had before. The sampling menu was an exploration of taste and presentation by a master. The delicacy of each item was exquisite. I would enjoy going back to try some of his more traditional offerings as well. I’m sure they’re extraordinary!

    Our second time visiting a restaurant of this caliber was exactly as we expected. This opulent location, fascinating surprise menu, and delicate attention to every minute detail made for an evening we will never forget. The staff was firstly polite, and secondly helpful. We discovered new ways to appreciate our food and the wine with which it was paired. Furthermore, a restaurant of this caliber carries such a reputation that disappointment shall never occur for a customer. In this case, we felt welcomed and that our tailored interactions were meaningful and their reputation as an elite eatery was upheld to the highest standard. Bravo.

    Views, service and wine selection were first rate. Food was third rate for the price. Will not return. At this price point, it should all be perfect. No wonder they lost their Michelin star.

    Loved their attentiveness. And the server was also very helpful with suggestions to ensure that we ordered enough (the Goldilocks type of enough). Pleasant evening out around Bellagio. Would have been better if the restaurant had thought of opening the doors to let cool air in before admitting guests into what felt like a furnace in the restaurant (the glasshouse effect).

    Wine list was good and prices reasonable but I would caution against starting off with a sparkling before our meal as the two glasses ( not the whole bottle) was €70. Nevertheless the wine recommended by the sommelier was very good and the food was amazing as was the ambience.

    Expected better food for a Michelin restaurant. A lot of formalities and protocols but I was left unimpressed by the food. Have had much better at others The Grand Hotel was beautiful.

    Everything was outstanding at this restaurant. The service, food, wine and the view of Lake Como was superb. Highly recommend. It is extraordinarily expensive but worth it.

    A wonderful venue for our anniversary meal, overlooking lake Como. Definitely recommend. We had the degustation menu with wines matched by the sommelier. Overall it was a very nice meal & an exceptional experience.

    As a michelin star restaurant, expectations are high and they met/or exceeded them in many areas. The location is phenomenal, the service was impeccable, and the food was creative and memorable; it also tasted delicious. Big fan of this restaurant! Worth the price!

    Our dining experience at Mistral was nothing short of impeccable from start to finish. The food truly tantalised our palates, the Sommelier’s wine recommendations were delicious, the service was outstanding and the excellent pianist on the grand piano set the scene perfectly. We particularly enjoyed the spectacle and showmanship of having ice cream made at the table with liquid nitrogen! Indulging ourselves on holiday the previous evening, we also tried the tasting menu at La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Mistral significantly set itself apart from the competition and we were very glad to have saved the best for last. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff for making Lara’s birthday so special.     Almost too perfect! The atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking with the stunning view of the lake and the pianist playing. The staff was very professional and welcoming. Food was impeccable, creative, cooked to perfection. Will definitely come again.

    Exposions of taste! Just amazing! High quality service, food, place and music. Definetly coming back as soon as possible. We were lucky, the next day the hotel and restaurant is cloșd for 6 months.

    Very disappointed about our visit to Mistral. Eating at a one star Michelin restaurant in Italy, you'd expect the bar to be very high, and for the restaurant to use seasonal and only the best ingredients of the region. The only pasta dish, was a ravioli filled with pheasant (if I remember correctly) that lacked flavor, the main dish was deer done three ways. The deer fillet, was nice. However, the raw deer tartar was simply raw meat, with no dressing and an excuse at a criolla sauce (think chopped peppers on top)... the most disappointing was the deer chunks, that honestly the restaurant should be ashamed of serving. In regards to value, the only ingredient of "high" quality that they served was a foie gras, which was good but nothing different or that you can't have for 25 euros anywhere else in the world. Out of the 7 courses, 2 where dessert, one of which was a bite-sized "pre-dessert". Not a lot of value here... I was expecting a dish to have white truffle, since we are in Italy approaching truffle season, but if you wanted that you had to pay extra - mind you the pre-set menu is already at 225 euros per menu... In general, most dishes were good, but nothing extraordinary. With the exception of the deer, which was truly appalling. I'm not entirely sure how they can get away with serving that... If you want to spend 500-600 euros to eat "ok", in a romantic and antique setting with live piano playing in the background, it is a good place. If you want GOOD food, don't waste your time or money...

    Not at thé valeur of a *star restaurant. Food correct but overpriced. Not refined. Beautifull view on thé lake. Pianist is great.
