Via San Basilio, una strada a ridosso dell’Ambasciata dei Stati Uniti, a poca distanza da piazza Barberini in pieno centro: è qui che si trova il Moma, ristorante gourmet di Gastone e Franco Pierini, locale dall'atmosfera curata e raffinata. Un posto situato nella zona della “Dolce Vita” e nel quale si fondono la cucina tradizionale e quella più innovativa. Un wine bar & restaurant nel quale potersi concedere una colazione, un lunch, un aperitivo, una cena ma anche semplicemente un caffè. Arredo minimalista ed elegante con un contrasto del Wenge e della pelle con l’acciaio ed i cristalli delle finestre e pareti a vetro. Un dehors nella parte esterna ci introduce nel locale dove troviamo il bar e, al piano superiore, il ristorante.

Nel menu piatti classici, eseguiti con tecnica contemporanea, uniti ad offerte moderne creano un ventaglio di scelte quanto mai ricco: chitarrini alla gricia, animelle con i carciofi, polpettine di bollito, coda alla vaccinara, vignarola, ma anche raviolini di baccalà in consommé di cipolle caramellate, lasagnette di farina di castagne e tanti dessert. La tecnica dello chef, le moderne attrezzature e la professionalità della brigata di cucina assicurano la riuscita dei piatti. Nel bar è servita la pasticceria dolce e salata preparata in casa, ed inoltre dalle 11.30 alle 15 la formula del “light lunch” consente di provare i cosiddetti “assaggini”: tra questi da menzionare l’insalata di polpo, il cous cous, la parmigiana di melanzane e lo sformatino di baccalà.

We took menu degustazione. First plate was fish tartar, love that. Second “squid “, not that much impressive. Just squid. Risotto with nuts, cheese and ... interesting. Beef cheek, love it. I’m , actually more meat-eater. Dessert-not mine. Again nuts. It should be something else.. All Peale stuff in restaurant are polite and attentive.

Overrated restaurant. The food was average, they like to put excessive nuts on nearly every dishes. They services were ok. As a Michelin star restaurant I expect something more.

Lovely restaurant, attentive staff - the chef came out to speak with us - amazing food. I can’t wait to return to have another wonderful meal.
