"Taken over a few years ago by chef Antoine Westermann, Mon Vieil Ami is undoubtedly one of the good locations of île Saint Louis.

The room, several hundred years old, has been perfectly renovated in a sleek modern style. Exposed beams, subdued lighting and flowers selected with taste will serve as decoration to taste the excellent cuisine of the chef.

The latter has created a vegetarian menu with Antoine Westermann that will surprise you."

Delicious food, expertly prepared. Fresh flowers, and a quiet presence make for a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is on a side street, and easy to walk past. But don't, it is an exceptional place for wonderful food!

We loved it. Amazing Pate to start beautifully done with roasted scallops for a main. Delicious, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The waiters do not know what they are doing. Said no ice bucket for wine, It I had to ask them to put in a big bowl where they keep outer wine. Full of well heeled Americans,all telling about their cruise or chateau where they are staying.. Place gets louder and louder, the more people drink and them more people come in. Tables very close and large groips come. Went ther cuz raining and cancelled other res and they did get us in, but the gbraise lamb shoulder very tough. Will not go back.

In my two weeks in Paris, this has been so far the best culinary experience. The proposals are quite uncomplicated, but what really makes it stand out is the quality of the ingredients and the prepararion. Overall an A+ experience. Definitely would recommend.

Unfortunately I was served the wrong dinner (lamb instead of fish!). The waiter realized it before actually serving it to me and offered to return it...while my friend's meal either got cold or she ate without me. I accepted the meal somewhat unenthusiastically and ate only part of it, as I found it a bit greasy. No compensation or further apology.

We found the restaurant in the Time Out guide - it was in the last 2 editions, so that was reassuring. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. The only slight downside was that the couple sitting beside us had been waiting 30 mins for their dessert when we arrived, so that set us up to expect the same.

Mon Vieil Ami is a treasure on the ile St. Louis. The cuisine, which offered a lot of vegetables, was divine. Food, service, atmosphere -- everything was perfect.

Once again, very good, all around. W E both had the carrot cumin soup. and a dessert. Plus bottle of nice Sancerre. Tables close and very nice to converse with yiur neighbors, we will def go back, all. Ery fresh and delicious.

The food could not be any better. The asparagus with soft boil egg appetizer was one of the best dishes of my life. My chicken with cream spinach was tasty and cooked just right. The desert was an interesting combo of rum and cream.

The only draw back was they just did not have enough servers. Took way too long for us to get waited on when we arrived and after we finished our main course took way too long for our desert and coffee. The staff was most courteous and apologized for the long wait times.

On the strength of the food quality and presentation we will definitely go back but I do hope they have adequate help next time we go
