7.5/10We thought the staff were excellent. Most polite and professional. Lovely people. The food was nice but the delicious steak really needed a little sauce on the side. There should have been candles on the table

10/10The food was amazing, the sauces in both the mushroom starter and seafood pasta fabulous and my husband said the squid was delicious. First time at this restaurant but will be back next year for sure. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Great addition to the area.

10/10Charming efficient service by the lovely owner and her staff. We opted for the special, it was the best rack of lamb we have ever tasted. Bruschetta very good and cheesecake and fig & almond tart both excellent. We will be going back and can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. It’s a delight.

2.5/10Nice venue. Unless it was an off night - I would avoid. Meat was raw and bloody. Service was awfully slow. One waitress/manager. After more than an hour of waiting for food and greeted with this we elected to leave and not eat.

It was a very busy nigth as everyone came at same time. I tried to please everyone but it’s not easy! The time you waited was normal on a very busy day tha’s why was suggested covert, All the distes that were ordered were grilled on charcoal and that’s one of the reasons for the delay,We accepted the complaint that the thought it was undercooked and None of the dishes were invoiced. Enjoy your holidays!

10/10The staff at Monte do Mar are extremely welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and easy. The menu is varied and extensive without being overwhelming while the staff are wonderfully knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations. The food was exceptional, the Cataplana was one of the very best that I have enjoyed across in the Algarve.

10/10The whole evening at Monte do Mar was perfect. The staff were friendly, and helpful with food and wine suggestions. Each part of the meal was cooked to perfection. My son had the steak and claimed it to be the best he'd ever eaten. The sauces on each meal were delicious. We will be back again very soon

10/10It was my birthday. We have been a few times on previous holidays. The staff are very polite and friendly. Informative on the food and wine they serve. They presented me with an almond tart ,complete with candles and sang happy birthday 🥳. They said if we wanted to stay and watch the football , we were more than welcome. A very enjoyable evening .

This restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with both its food and service! We tried the tiger prawns and grouper dishes, and both were outstanding. The chef's talent shines through in each unique and perfectly cooked dish. The wine selection is impressive, featuring a wide array of Portuguese wines. Our children enjoyed their grilled chicken breast, and the desserts were delightful as well. Highly recommend!

10/10Our large party of 9 went for a fabulous meal at this lovely restaurant. The staff were so accommodating and very informative. The food was outstanding and the portion sizes very good. We will be visiting again for our final meal on holiday!
