One half of us was happy with the meal but other was not . The bbq chicken skewer was poor in quality and the chips were so hot it burnt mouth . Can’t fault the quantity of food and prices reasonable but unfortunately was not overall an experience would repeat

very nice restaurant, bolo de caco and olives for starters and cataplana do marisco was all delicious with good portion sizes.staff were very attentive and we were given a free madeira wine each to finish.reasonable prices.would happily return.

We go to this restaurant several times when we are in Madeira. Friendly staff great value for money.Extensive menu something for everyone. I would highly recommend the steak and the fish great choice.Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant in the last two weeks. The food is well presented and extremely good value for money , the discount an absolute bonus. All the staff are friendly, attentive and very efficient. Would highly recommend paying it a visit.

The food was great, we had grilled squid and octopus with traditional soups and garlic bread. The staff was attentive and fast. The only downside is that the tables outside are located next to a busy and it can be noisy - but I believe you can just sit inside.

Combined with impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, my dining experience at Monumental grill was truly memorable. If you’re a fan of seafood and exquisite flavors, do yourself a favor and try the Grilled Tuna Madeira Style. It’s a culinary masterpiece that deserves every bit of praise it receives. I can’t wait to return for another delectable meal!

Excellent food and service. I would definitely recommend a visit whilst in Funchal. Portion sizes are generous, so avoid extra sides unless you are really hungry! Cannot fault the quality of the food.

Another lovely meal here again. Third visit here, first through the Fork and the food was excellent. We had fish soup and avocado for starters, mixed fish grill, plain omelette and prawn salad for mains all washed down with two bottles of house wine.

We were looking for a typical Portugese restaurant local to us, this was perfect. There is a wide range on the menu, the service attention is excellent, the setting inside created the ambiance. Meal was finished off very well with what we call caramel pudding, best one we had on the island during this trip. This suited our family very well, including our very young grandchildren. Thank you.
