Great tasting dishes, service a little chaotic. If they played background music and dimmed the lights a little it would have a much better ambience.

Great food and lovely atmosphere on the terrace for lunch. Portions were fine, a bit big for me but perfect for the others and I always eat a little less. The staff spoke perfect English if you need it and the food was great!!

Very disappointed After seeing other reviews. For an Indian restaurant with no relishes , to go with popadoms seems surprising ! Being told the mint sauce had gone off !!

    Namaste Sarlat (Owner)

sorry for the inconvenience , we gave you mango chutney and mixed pickel along with papadams and at same time i explained to you about mint sauce is finished.and its a home made sauce we are not buying them from super market.papadam is always like that in every where.nothing happened for disappointment we earn comments and reviews for our foods and service

Food is consistently excellent. It can be busy but service is attentive. It’s been open a little over a year now and it could use a little sprucing up but can’t wait to go again. And try Texas burger

We had grown tired, very tired, of meal after meal of foie gras and duck breast, the duck usually inferior to what we’re accustomed to back home in the SF Bay Area. Certainly we’ve had some excellent meals on our trip to the Dordogne, but we needed a change of pace so we trusted the reviews and gave Namaste a try. Good for us! The Gambas Marsala was some of the best I’ve had. My wife said her grilled chicken skewer with ginger and coriander had a flavor that was “subtle and complex,” really very good. The raita, she said, was the best she’s ever had. (I liked it, too.) The dessert was, I think, rose syrup over vanilla ice cream, again delicious. We ate outside on a most pleasant patio in spite of NEAR 100-DEGREE HEAT. I hate to write reviews because they tend to make me sound so … darn pompous and full of myself. But I thought the meal deserved it.

The place was empty when we arrived but the tables absolutely filty! Then the sweet waiter came.. cut our order to answer phone calls. Brought chutneys that were so filthy.... Sat while trying to locate him to get bill... The Madras was good though and biryani.

Delicious food beautifully presented, with great service. We really enjoyed every dish. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even spoke English. We visited for an evening meal, and we look forward to visiting again at lunchtime one day soon :)

Went here after reading good reviews but ended up being very disappointed. Warm welcome and prompt service bu downhill after that. Ordered popadoms and a starter which have always been served separately in other restaurants but these came together with no pickles or dips for the popadoms, after we attracted the waiters attention he brought these to us. The onion bhajees were very doughy and not very good. Then our main courses arrived one of which was not what we ordered so we were left with one serving, our rice and naan bread whilst they went to make the correct dish. These were all on cold plates/dishes so we shared the one main that we had and when the second arrived we had to share that otherwise everything would have been stone cold. Although the waiter was very apologetic, from our experience here we really couldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We waited just over 25 minutes before being offered a drink, just as we’d decided to leave. The couple next to us said that the food was worth waiting for but our experience was mixed. The mixed pakora stared was good the Indian salad, heavy with red kidney beans and cumin not to our taste. The raita was also thick and we’d have preferred more cucumber and mint, neither of which were discernible in this dish. The lamb madras was good, not overly spiced, a touch ascerbic but I enjoyed it with both the buttery pilau rice and the plain rice which were both good. The vegetable curry however was disappointing. It just looked like a plate of sauce, did contain runner beans, soft onions and maybe some peppers but wasn’t what we expected. The plain nan was very nice, soft and freshly cooked. It was Sunday night so not much choice and maybe there are better dishes available here. For those of you brought up on UK curries and especially those from the Midlands balti-belt, re-set your expectations, maybe avoid the vegetable dishes and you could have an enjoyable but different meal. Find a quiet night and your service experience may also be better than ours

First would like to apologise for the delay and many thanks for your comments and suggestions. At the moment we are not using mint for the Raita and we serve our customers raita thickly if there is any request from clients in future we will consider to do the changes on our recipies. Thanks Namaste
