Thank you to the staff for making an extra effort. The pork/polenta main course was perhaps the best cooked pork we've ever had. The spices throughout the meal were subtle, unexpected, and delicious. If New Grounds is looking for something to improve they could have better design, furniture, or decorations, but we came there to eat, not to look, and had a great evening.

A brief but delicious. menu. Perfectly sized portions. Gentle and professional service. We opted for a table inside rather than the terrace: too hot for lunch outside since it is in direct sunlight. Owner and waiters made us feel welcomed straight away and immediately brought a bowl of water for our dog without being asked. Bravo! Excellent price as expected (around 90 euros for 3 people a la carte). Placed off the most tourisical streets, in a nice side street in the centre (5-10 min walking from main sites)

The food was excellent! The service however suffered problems - perhaps because it was New Year's Day and the regular wait staff was off? I received a bottle of sparkling water and had to call the waiter back to open it. We asked for bread to go with our foie gras - it took a long time to come and was just 4 tiny slices off a baguette for three people. Our plates were scraped and stacked on the table in front of us when we were finished.

The waiter was friendly enough, just in over his head and not trained in some of the basics.

Truly fabulous. Amazing foie gras, unbelievable flavours and charming staff - so accommodating. Buzzing vibe, quirky deco, excellent ambience and amazing value. Definitely worth visiting and so much better than the "generic French menu fixe" affair.

Had an amazing dinner after a long day of exploring the countryside. We ordered ratatouille rolls, foies gras and salmon tartare for appetizers. They were all really good but ratatouille rolls are must try. I had the roast duck for entire which was excellent too. My friends ordered the streak but thought the meet was too chewy. Maybe it was because of the beef we are used to in the USA. The wine recommended paired very well with the food. It was a really well priced place and overall and excellent experience!

Located in a pleasant side street that reminded us of Sarlat in the Dordogne but without the crowds. Dine outside or in. We started outside but a torrential showered drove us inside, where the surroundings were pleasant. Slightly crowded but the atmosphere was very convivial, so it didn't matter.. The food was superb, and the staff friendly and charming. A first rate lunc, which other guests evidently were enjoying as much as we did.

The food was reallly great. We did not expect star qualtity dishes for these moderate prices. The staff was also family friendly. I would definitly recommend this restaurant.

We booked this place after reading some really good reviews reviews on TA. We left feeling extremely disappointed.

Citrus Salmon and Rice - rice was overlooked and the salmon was dry.

Beef - offered medium rare, it arrived almost well done. It was also under seasoned.

Duck with Foie Gras - duck was nice, but the liver was overcooked and rubbery. Not a nice texture at all.

The service however, that was friendly enough and sitting outside the restaurant with lively surroundings, made the poor food experience a little more bearable.

This place has lots of potential. They just have to sort the food out and get it up to standard.
