The service was excellent. The starter was chewy and could have been much better. The main courses were good an excess of sauce on the steak did nothing for it. The sauces for the grilled fish were not well matched.

Just loved this restaurant right in the heart of the old town. Despite being very busy - it was NYE after all - the staff were all charming & courteous in the way they dealt with customers & also with those that had to be politely turned away without a reservation. I opted for the Octopus which was delicious & a selection of vegetables. The house white was good. I would definitely return to try their full menu.

The manager is very conscientious and the servers are polite. But that is where it ends. The restaurant needs a good cleaning. Cigarette smoke is prevalent in the restaurant. I was given a plate with old food stuck to the plate. It was stacked on top of my son’s plate. My plate was replaced my son’s was not although the old food would have been in contact. The server had trouble getting our order right (it was not a language issue). The grilled fish plate was severely over salted (I couldn’t eat it). My wife’s pasta lacked flavour our daughter’s pasta looked unappealing. We had to ask multiple times for more water. Too many things went wrong. We just wanted it to be over. We ate here last March, the food was good then.

Bread with garlic and the garlic prawns were very good. Main dish; scabbard fish with tropical sauce and banana was ok. But the vegetables were terrible! No respect for different cooking times or that salt is needed when cooking to get any taste. Service was kind and attentive. Though they seemed unorganized at times. Picture of the restaurant on the fork is the “best corner” in the back. And not representative for most of the room.

What a lovely find. Came up as a restaurant offering gf options and they did not disappoint. Very knowledgable waiter, really good Portuguese food with wonderful staff. Will be back.

A slightly hidden but very pleasant restaurant. The dishes were tasty and we must highlight the specialty of the house: The francesinha. Different from the one that is made in Porto, with a lighter sauce. The waiter was very friendly, communicative and professional!

Steak and chicken in sauce cooked in ten minutes. Poor quality, couldn't eat or enjoy it. Left 50% of the food, staff mortified. Gave 10% off bill and removed one main course. We didnt have starters or desserts. Very sad as we had hoped for a good meal. Staff were fair in circumstances. We were only ones in restaurant and had prebooked.
