Norton Park

It was a nice setting, with friendly staff. Although food was nice, it wasn’t as advertised only plain scones no fruit ones, sandwiches not as listed no salmon, or garnishes such as cress and chutneys. Cakes nice but two carrot cakes just in different shapes.

Service was very good, food was lovely and delicious and quick service. Food intolerances are dealt with fantasticly.

The staff were friendly helpful and couldn’t do enough especially Jo . The cakes were delicious but the sandwiches were floppy and flavours were awful..the scones were hot and loved the clotted cream and jams ..coffee was included and there was a choice which was nice and a glass of procecco I enjoyed the experience nice surroundings and very peaceful

Disappointing afternoon tea. Service was very poor, food ok.

Afternoon Tea, Birthday treat with my daughter. My 3rd visit to Norton Park and just love the attention to detail and customer care.

Disappointing. Steak not cooked to how we asked so sent back. Wife didn’t eat her chips as they were underdone. Short staffed

Restaurant was nice. Tables well spaced. Good ambience. However, they forgot our order so we waited a long time for the main course. Then steak was then over done. We were offered to have it recooked but it was getting late and we wanted to eat together and not wait for a recooked steak. The shine was taken off the evening. Service was very good and the wine was excellent. We were booked into the restaurant for a second night but decided to go into Winchester instead after the Friday night experience.

overall we weren’t that impressed with Norton Park’s afternoon tea experience. The food itself was quite nice, though the chocolate was a bit too rich as we couldn’t finish a few of the cakes - on the other hand the sandwiches and scones were lovely. My mine gripe was with the service; firstly the waiter seemed to be the only person serving in the bar and afternoon tea area and was additionally not told of our booking in time so our table wasn’t set up. Once the waiter finally came to serve us, He offered us afternoon tea in the bar, which wasn’t what we had wanted and had to ask to have our afternoon tea in the actual afternoon tea section! To be fair he did apologise for this and we understood it wasn’t his fault, but he then proceeded to forget to bring our plates, knives and napkins - we had to go and ask him again for them - again once he had finished serving those at the bar. We were not offered a top up on tea so be warned you only get 1 small pot of tea for the price which isn’t great. It was also a windy day and someone had left a fire exit open which kept banging away - minor thing but did add to what amounted to be a rather disappointing visit. We won’t be returning, nor will we reccommend the afternoon tea either.
