O Corrido – Casa de Fado

Were it not for the discounted offer we enjoyed I would have found the food quite expensive but it presumably reflect the fact that there is no music fee; every 30-40 minutes a singer interprets 3 or 4 fado signs. The singers are professional and it shows. At the end of this (Friday) evening they were joined by additional singers, including some amateurs who proved to be equally good. It made for a very entertaining evening where most of the guests are actually locals. Food is excellent: my wife truly enjoyed the duck magret. Service was adequate but the restaurant seems to run on a low stock: the plate I wanted to order was not available as was the wine I initally choose: we thus picked another bottle and could not reorder the same for a second serving.

We had a very nice dinner here. The atmosphere was good and the service was professional. We strongly recommend to come to this cozy place, to have the opportunity to have dinner to the sound of two beautiful voices of fado! Fado happens during 15 minutes, all night long, every half hour. Although the portions were not very generous, the tuna steak was fresh and tasty and the prawn açorda was also great! We accompanied it with the red house wine, in a jug, which was very smooth.

I absolutely enjoyed the experience. My friends and I were surprised by how beautiful Fado was. The singers were so professional that we felt we were in a theatre. The food was great, and the location is fantastic. If you decide to go to a fado restaurant, pick this one!

Lovely new Fado house, I live in Lisbon and have been to a few, but this was by far the best. Staff so friendly and attentive and the fado was great! Highly recommend!

Brilliant, tasty and lovely.

Great way to spend my last night in Portugal! The food was delicious and comforting, and even though I was dining by myself, the server and the owner made me feel very welcome. I was especially intrigued by the live Fado performance, and the owners' passion for music. I got to learn a lot about Fado music and overall, this made for a great experience :)

Awesome place to visit when travelling to Lisbon. Live show from 20:00 to 00:00 where you can discover traditional Fado together with nice food. The owner is playing the portuguese guitar, his wife is a wonderful singer and they count with a great group accompanying them. He, furthermore, is taking the time to talk to clients to clarify doubts and explain something further details about the origin of the music. We will for sure be back next time!!!

Wonderful place! Caring staff, amazing energy. The food was delicious, traditional portuguese flavors and very generous servings. We loved the Fado show, and how they timed the serving around it. A truly great experience. Thank you!

A Jewell out of the beaten path. They made our last night in Lisbon a very memorable event. Learn about Fado from professionals. Enjoy Fado from professionals. And on top of that enjoy the Portuguese Cuisine. In your way home, stroll the magic streets of Alfama at midnight. What else you want?

The food was outstanding and the service was so warm and friendly. It was a brilliant introduction to a real Fado experience and was the highlight of our trip. It really was a faultless (and delicious) evening.
