The food was so rich in flavors, very generous portions and perfect time gap between the courses. The ambiance was very cozy and warm. I enjoyed my Christmas dinner a lot.

We dined here on Christmas Eve 2022 and it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. We chose the Christmas set menu that had five courses. We began with roasted scallops in an almond and passion fruit crust and it was exquisite, the passion fruit flavouring with the scallop was mouthwatering. We then had Fillet of red mullet and white bean ragout Creole style which not only looked magnificent but tasted divine. We then progressed to Meat pie with walnuts and wild spinach/ Poached vegetables with rum and vanilla/ Full-bodied meat jus, this was just so hearty and homely. A really fabulous meal. The dessert selection comprised of four tastings, Around gourmet chocolate: hot chocolate with condensed milk / Coconut chocolate mouse / Chocolate brownie with peanut chips / Chocolate ice cream. All hit the spot. The finale was Cookie with vanilla custard/panna cotta, it was so fresh and light. C'est Magnifique!

A delightful adventure into flavours. The menu is limited and I would dare say seasonal; all three options for the entree and for the main looked amazing. They presented the menu in French and in English, but honestly there were words that I did not understand in either language. I had the composed green salad (lots of different items, to include a crunchy dried pea of sorts, delicious) and the salmon cooked to perfection on top of a gravy of diced vegetables and what I assume are African herbs that I simply am not familiar with. I still am unsure of what kinkelibar is. End result was delicious flavours. My only complaint would be the seating; I may be too old and my body too broken for a cushion on a bench. Despite this, I will be back when I return to Strasbourg for work. It is hard to find a good restaurant that offers non-red meat options that are delicious.

Was disappointed. The ratings were so high and I made a special effort to eat here. I had the slow cooked chicken, but it was not particularly moist nor flavorful. Just regular chicken to me. The crepe of the dessert was dry and required a knife to cut through the bottom. However, the staff was very hospitable! €35.00 including a glass of wine. (The salmon tartar was gratis due to the slow kitchen.)

Amazing!!! Great food and service, highly recomendad, the wine is also very good and the banana pie was delicious. Sadly covid restrictions came out tonight and all this places will have to close, heartbreaking bit hope to see you back soon!!!

Very good service and excellent food. This is a place I definitely recommend to everyone. It’s small but very cozy. By the appearance you wouldn’t think this restaurant will serve food at fine dining level. It’s always pleasant to be positive surprised.

Actually we thought that this is a modern French restaurant. But we came to know that it is an African French restaurant. We haven’t tried any African restaurant before therefore we weren’t sure that we could eat and enjoy their foods(especially we prefer not to eat any spicy foods). What they severed were very tasty beautiful foods. We enjoyed them a lot.

It was rather quiet for a Saturday night but we'll were out of the whole tourist area. The host was warm and welcoming. The food was really fresh and flavorful. Very small selection but I think it's because they do a seasonal type of menu.
