About the restaurant O Pescador

After being recommended it’s neighbour restaurant forè de pé and not being able to get a table there, we decided to come here following good reviews. It was overpriced tourist food. The waiters were rude, abrupt and the food was nothing special. Don’t go here, I really wouldn’t waste my money at this place.

The paella dish was delicious and the house wine was actually a lovely surprise! Our waiter was a nice man but not very attentive. They were very busy and that might’ve been part of it. But our overall experience was good.

As the name expresses, you're there for the seafood and the paella did not disappoint!!! We did not get a Starter/Appetizer and I'm glad we didn't because the paella for 2 is more than an ample serving! This was a recommendation by the Owner of the Crow Bar just a short distance away so I recommend heading there for after dinner drinks and to listen to some rockin' tunes.

Food was great however sitting outside was windy and cold, especially when the food took a while to come. A bit overpriced compared to other seafood we had in Portugal but still excellent quality.

Food was disappointing. Octopus was chewy; cod was tough; swordfish steak wasn't a steak at all, but thin sliced something. Nice street away from the crazy tourist streets though. Note you're billed per person for bread, not just a bread serving. Felt ripped off.

The other similar Portuguese fish Resturants were much better in service and food taste in Albufeira.
It is good but over rated Resturant.

Delicious food and friendly service. We went for a large salt bakes sea bass for the whole family. This isn't a cheap option but it was fantastic.

We were two adults and a teenager that enjoyed a lovely meal and great service yesterday evening. The menu is mainly seafood but they also have excellent meat dishes for those who preferred something other than seafood.
Can recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a good meal in the old city center of Cascais. Prices are also reasonable for the quality of the food and wine.

Delicious...each of us rated our food the best we've had in the area, from grouper fillets to octupus, chocos to tuna steak. We were tucked along the wall so it felt intimate among a full and busy space. We spent 3 hours eating, chatting, laughing and felt very welcome from start to finish.
