We were reccomended this restaurant as our host said served great Portuguese authentic cuisine. It was in a suburb aswell away from the tourist trail so you know it must be ok. We arrived and our table was full of dishes for us to try which was really lovely - melon with Parma ham, olives, soup, smoked salmon, Portuguese bread etc. There was a lot of food! The only problem is we weren’t shown a menu. This always makes me feel uneasy as you feel a vulnerable tourist being ripped off. We asked for a drinks menu, they just asked us what we’d like and we said a traditional white wine however not shown a price.
They then said what the main courses are were and gave us 3 options again without menus or prices.
The main course we chose was octopus as we thought this was traditional, it was amazing and very tasty except for the bad taste of feeling like you’re a vulnerable time in town tourist being ripped off

Nice traditional restaurant. Popular with families and group of friends for celebrations. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable.
