Tasteful and rich dishes, well balanced amounts.
Dined here on the Albert Heijn menu.

The appetizer was a deer pate with cranberry sauce and Ibérico bacon which melted in my mouth.
The wine (tempranillo-merlot-syrah combination) paired perfectly with the smoothness, fat and salt of the dish.
As a main course I had the plaice fillet with shrimpsauce. It came accompanied with a little potato gratin and seasonal vegetables. The various flavours blended together wonderfully.
My dining companion ordered the bavette, which was cooked very well and came with a good amount of sauce, kale and the same seasonal vegetables. Even though he would never eat kale, he moderately enjoyed it.
The panna cotta and chocolate mousse desserts were rich in flavour and a little too heavy.

Beautiful, historic building. Great use of space, very welcoming. The imposing tables and chairs fit the décor and the historic building marvelously.
