The portions are larger than normal and very delicious. The fish platter was the best of it all. The service was great.

Waiters were friendly but we felt as if they either forgot about our order or forgot about the table number .
We ordered cheesecake for dessert, but even though we placed the order ahead of at least 5-6 tables near us (maybe 10-15 mins before them) we keep seeing cheesecake after cheesecake being given to other tables (looks like cheesecake is popular because it's part of the voucher deal).
In the end, after all other tables got theirs, finally a waiter came to our table and ask "did you order a cheesecake?". I think we waited a good 40-45 mins for that. It was delicious though!

Although the food was simple but great nonetheless, the service was extremely slow. Much of the time the personel was just running around chaotic with no clue wat was happening around them. People who were waiting to be served or who wanted to place an order were ignored most of the times. Would I go there again? Yes, not for the service, which is simply lacking in many ways, but for the reasonable priced food, that tastes great as well, and the atmosphere.

Uitstekende kreeft gegeten met een voortreffelijke Pinot Grigio.
Achterin het restaurant staan een paar ongunstige tafels, voorin is het gezelliger, ook onder de verwarmde gesloten overkapping van het terras.

Terrible food. The spare-ribs, steak, prawns and even the lobster were served almost cold. Surely you'd expect the lobster to be tasting nice, but it smelled as if it was off...smelled like dried seaweed and tasted sour. Defintely not fresh and we even left half of it. Try for yourself but save your money and spent it at places like Catch instead. Only positive comment is the waitress who served us well. Even the bill was too high with the 50% offer we got..

We had a social deal voucher for a three course menu. When we arrived the waiter came very fast, but that was the only time. The house wine wasn't available do we could choose a different one for the same price, but an the bill this wasn't the case. They also brought us the wrong wine. We ordered from the social deal menu, but again they charged us extra on the bill. The soup was good, the burger was ok, but there was also a hair in the food. The risotto wasn't a risotto, but more like baked rice. All and all not a really good experience and we won't be coming back here.

We hadden steak en ribs gegeten. De ribs was perfect "Fall off the bone" en de steak en het sausje d'r op was heerlijk! My compliments to the chef :)

I was upset that we made a reservation, however the host could not find it. She did not take my word for it, even though the indoor seating was extremely open and many, many tables were available the entire time we did sit and eat. Our issue was we don't have cell service, being from the US ,and she made us stand in a corner over our phones till we could show her our confirmation. We had to stand to the side because she sat at least 5 other tables who did not have a reservation, which confused us as to why we really needed ours. I could understand this if they were busy. But like I said they were quite empty. The food, my fiancé rated as a 3-3.5. He thought his steak wasn't great and my seafood pasta had imitation crab meat for one of the main seafood pieces. Also, the food took an hour to arrive. For being right next to the sea we expected a lot more.

The first impression from Oceans Square was that it looked more like a bar than a restaurant. It is more appealing to have a drink there than eat. And it is really weird because the food was really great.

The amuse bouche was exactly what was needed to kick off a sea-food experience with the tuna tartar really pleasing the taste buds! The starter was really fulfilling and really tasty (sashimi for me and carpaccio for my wife). We also had the optional soup before the main course and it really deserved the extra buck you have to pay. Tha main course was good, it simply lacked the wow factor following up the two previous courses. Finally the dessert was probably the lowest point, not low, simply lowest out of the 4. It would be great if the brownie was served hot and the creme brulee was not that special.

The presentation of the plates was nice and the service was fast and to the point. Really kind and discreet and the plates were perfectly presented.

We totally enjoyed our dinnerdeal. I think we ll go back to taste more fish!

A great location with modern Decor and a well heated outside dining area. The staff were friendly when available but their timing was not great with our wine glasses remaining empty for the majority of the meal even after asking for another glass from one waitress she said she would send someone over, but no one arrived. They also forgot to serve our Amuse which was included in the set menu chosen. The food was ok when compared to other restaurants in the same price bracket but very slow, within the first 1.5 hours we had only our starter.

Have supported this restaurant since it opened and it was a good addition to the restaurants in Scheveningen. However the quality of service has gone downhill. On our most recent visit we were told my starter was not available ten minutes after we ordered it. Then my wife’s main course arrived long after mine – I had almost finished eating my main course. The restaurant also appears to be understaffed as it was very difficult to get a waiter’s attention and it was not that busy. Added to that we sat outside and were placed next to a table of 5 people who all smoked, which was quite unpleasant. Altogether a disappointing experience. Will try Oceans Beach next time to see if it is any better.

We drove a long way for what we hoped would be a special evening; we wanted to celebrate both our birthdays. We had tickets for a musical and we wanted to start the evening with a nice dinner in a fine restaurant.
I read a couple of reviews and thought Oceans would serve us just fine. When I made the reservation I pointed out that we had to be at the theater before 7:30 pm and was told that if we arrived at the restaurant by 5:30 we should be in plenty of time. As a precaution, we arrived even earlier; two and a half hours before the show..
The reception at the fireplace was nice and we were given the menu, but no one came to take our order. So after ten minutes we went inside, were shown to our table and there our order was taken promptly.
We started with sharing a 'Dragon' sushi roll. It was nicely presented, well made and it tasted great. Next my girlfriend had a tuna tataki which was ok, but my 'Atlantic tomatoes soup with king crab' sounded a lot more impressive than it was.
If the rest of the dinner had matched the quality of the sushi it could still have been a great experience, but that was the big problem: the rest never came. In spite of the fact that I mentioned our time limitation when making the reservation and confirming it with the waitress who took our order, by 7:00 we still had not received our main course. I repeatedly reminded her that we were still waiting while other guests, who had clearly arrived after we did, were already being served their main course.
We had not ordered anything out of the ordinary; a 'Lady steak' and a 'Club steak'. When we were finally told that it was 'really ready' I had already stood up to ask for the bill; we needed to get to the theater on time. Apologies were made and I did not have to pay for the drinks, but we did not have much too drink anyway. As an excuse for what happened we were told, "The problem is that everyone wants to go to the theater". If that presents a problem for this restaurant, they should have been honest with me in the first place and not taken the reservation.

It was probably just bad luck that our order was messed up that evening. I hope the same thing will not happen to you, and that by the time you eat at Oceans they will also have cleaned the ladies room, which according to my girlfriend was filthy.
Fortunately the musical was absolutely fabulous!
After the show I got myself a very angry hamburger. It's junkfood, but at least you know what you can expect, and when to expect it..
