The service was great! The food was terrible and overpriced.
Cosy restaurant on a cold wet evening. Attentive and knowledgeable staff, beautifully presented innovative food, good wine pairing. Visited previously in 2012 and the quality was as good as before. Make it your one treat when you visit Porto
Very lovely experience, food, wine and service was excellent!! We did the Porto menu with pairing.
Great space, amazing food. Worth every penny of the full tasting and wine paring menu. Would recommend to anyone!
Ode was a very special meal. We chose the Ode tasting menu and wine pairing. It was 8 courses of small, but very thoughtful, flavorful local Portuguese food. The pairing was also a great addon. The pours were heavy, and we had 6 different wines paired with different parts of the meal. Overall, a very well designed service, with plenty of time between courses to chat, digest, and finish the last glass of wine. Overall, an excellent experience.
To eat the food here is a exciting experience. Excellent exceptional service with taster dishes cooked to perfection flavoursome and delicious. Not the usual dinning experience this is why I definitely recommend a visit Read the story, soak in the ambiance the tastefully refurbished historical building provides, Experience the food., drink the wine this restaurant is a must when in Porto .
All dishes are just with puree with no special taste at all. The veggie broth is tasteless that you cant enjoy the so called natural flavours. The Atlantic cod is blend, again with boring puree. I cannot eat the duck breast without crispy skin as you can see the thick layer of fat which is still in soft form, again with puree... Anyhow, almost €80 for this meal (oh please, never count bread and butter as a course) with 4 glasses of wine pairing, and as a person eats frequently around the word, the value of this meal is one of the worst ever I have had. Please, go to somewhere like Almeja/ Antiqvvm that you could enjoy much more exceptional, professional and outstandingly impressive tasting meal you could have in Porto at similar value and better quality.
Fabulous food, wine, and friendly and hospitable service, with a breathtaking view of the port. We both enjoyed everything about the meal. Highly recommend.
I don’t think this restaurant was for us. I am a real foodie but this restaurant was just weird. We were offered a very dry port or sparkling wine when we sat down. We assumed this was included in the set menu. If you were paying then you would surely be able to choose your first drink? The first course was sardine which was ok but my husband didn’t like it really. Then there was a salad which was quite nice. Then a strange soup. Consommé poured over a semi cooked poached egg. Then bread. As a separate course!! I asked if we could have bread with the soup but this didn’ t happen. The bread was good. My husband didn’ t touch the soup. . I managed most of it. Then cod which was cooked nicely but nothing much with it. . Duck which came with just beetroot. My husband doesn’t like beetroot. Then a pre pudding. And a nice pudding. The portions were tiny. We had coffee. I asked for an Americano but was told it was espresso. So I asked if I could have more water in it which they did. We left hungry and disappointed after paying a big bill. The food was cooked well and of a high quality. Just strange combinations and choices. We won’ t be returning.
This is about the best tasting menu for the price I have ever had. They were friendly, attentive and generous. The food was amazing.
Disappointing, tasteless food. Overpriced. Could not eat either main because they were so bad. The servers didn't seem too bothered. Avoid at all costs.
very cozy, artistic, quaint. great experience.
The food was excellent - each dish was very well thought through. The wine flight was well judged. A lot of knowledge and passion goes into the whole experience here.
I had a really nice evening here, the food is very good, the service from the staff is great, and it's obvious a lot of thought goes into the choices of wine to go with the meal. It's easily as good as restaurants in other cities that cost 2 or 3 times as much.
I really enjoyed the wine pairing and also knowledge and friendliness of our waiter and sommelier Tiago. Food was a modern twist to some traditional Portuguese dishes.
Wonderful tasting menu, affordable by US standards, very nice and attentive staff.
This place is fantastic!!! The food is incredible, so many different flavors and all perfectly balanced. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the wine pairings. The chef personally comes out to talk to guests. Beautiful decor. Loved it.
Restaurant staff should check in with customers more frequently. During the entire meal, which was almost three hours, we only received one glass of water. No one ever asked us if we wanted more water and no one ever offered us more water. Our table was on the second floor and by the end of the meal, the room was very warm. When we finished our meal, no one gave us any attention for about 20 minutes and we finally had to ask for the bill. It would have been nice if some one had asked us if we were okay, if we needed anything, or if we wanted anything else. Instead, we were ignored. For the price of the meal, the closing service was disappointing.
