8.5/10Took a bit longer than I thought to find this restaurant, Beware of Google maps! When going from the principe railway station we walked down Via Bolbi, then through a tunnel, then up some steps to the left. Don’t go through the second tunnel! Or go up to the funicular! Anyway once we got there it was good. Portion sizes variable, Vegetable Frito Misti was decent sized/big, Mains (secondi) weren’t over large. If I went again I’d have the anti-pasto, primo and secondi. Food was of a very high standard, mostly fish/seafood based., with delicate flavourings including the use of the borage herb, unusual to me at least. White wine was a choice of vermentino or pigato . No list or price offered! The pigato was great, a good match for the seafood, a bargain at €24, compared to UK restaurant prices. Never heard of it before, it’s surely very much a Ligurian staple, similar to the vermentino grape. All in all a slightly different place very much away from the tourist trail. We ate outside, as far as I could tell most of the rest of our fellow diners were locals, I’d have thought that the two dogs at our neighbouring table hadn’t come that far in any case! They were kept in good check by their owners. It’s that kind of place!

8/10Nice restaurant, a short menu but a good selection of food. Staff is great, service is decent and they had great local wines. The only downside was that at the end of May, the terrace was not working.

10/10Great little restaurant. Waiters were very friendly, took the time to translate some of the menu for us. Food was delicious. Massive recommend.
