First course of lasagne - much was made of it being homemade. When it arrived, after we started eating it, we realised it was not warm through to the middle which suggests it was not freshly prepared. First choice of wine was not available. Main course was ok.

This was the best food and service we had in Venice, and we had eaten at the Gritti Palace the night before. A wonderful atmosphere of local people with no pretension. Samuel was the most hospitable waiter and, more importantly, a knowledgeable and skilled sommelier. We had a tremendous red which was expertly decanted. The fritto misto was a masterpiece. As were the clams and mussels. You must come here !

The food was very good, however it takes more than that to make a good experience. We are shown into a back room with very bright lighting, I was facing a brick wall where the high chairs were stored, it was just so lacking in atmosphere and felt cold. If we had been seated in the first room where the decor was appealing and where there was a "buzz" I would have recommended this restaurant unreservedly, however I was very disappointed and cannot recommend it.

A lovely bistro type eatery located away from the mainstream Venice but close to the station. Food was wonderful - mussels & clams to die for and a beautifully cooked fillet steak. Service was attentive without being in your face. Roberto, our waiter, was excellent, finishing off our meal with with a couple of on the house limoncelli when he learned it was my wife's birthday.

Definitely a recommended place to eat when in Venice.
