Excellent
Wonderfully attentive service from the waiting team and a great atmosphere in the dining area as the tables filled up. The food was beautifully presented and contained all the flavours and textures we expected - accompanied by a superb home-grown Chianti of course! Our only disappointment was with the tiramisu which, while being presented in a novelty and amusing manner, was nothing more than a lightly coffee-flavoured custard atop a biscotti. They also charged me for the zucchini side order that didn't actually arrive but as the rest of the meal, barring my dessert, was an excellent experience I didn't quibble. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will happily return the next time we are in the area,
The food was delicious, the service was great. It was one of my favourite meals whilst staying in Tuscany.
Very nice location nestled in one of most beautiful spot in Tuscany countryside. Good food and very attentive service. The garden and table set up is really nice. We will come back soon .
Cucina super e grande atmosfera !
Osteria di Fonterutoli is still keeping is level and quality. Any time we are in Tuscany we aim to get here. Very fresh, good prepared tuscany food with a touch from Mazzei family, and their wines It is still one of the best place in all Chianti. So if you somewhere around you must get there
Excellent dinner in a lovely environment.
Nice location, average food quality for the high benchmark of the Chianti area, pasta main course like ravioli disappointing, good meat, too expensive
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and were not disappointed. Lovely setting under the trees on a very hot day. Entree and mains were delicious. Service was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend
This place is very atmospheric and cosy, very good for sunset seeing. But it has some issues. First one - our table was served by any waiter of this restaurant, therefore, we ordered drinks to one person, and in a few minutes another one approached and asked if we want some drinks. Same thing was wis dessert and the bill. We ordered for our kid a half portion of pasta with ragou, but in fact we got full portion of pasta with wild boar meat, which was very hard to chew for a 6-year kid. We were waiting for Our semifreddo about 25 minutes, but I don’t know if it should be cooked for so long. And at last, we had a extra bottle of water in our bill, which we didn’t actually drink. But for excuse, they removed it, when we pointed it. Unfortunatelly - it isn’t the place where you want to return or advice to visit.
It is is a nice restaurant in a really beautiful setting. One can sit in on the Terrasse which is surrounded by green and enjoy a particularly stunning view. The staff is very young but ambitious. The food is extraordinary. A great pleasure.
A perfect redtsurant ! Great Steak Fiorentina, Great Wines, very friendly staff! We had a very fine evening and will come again!!
Unfortunately we didn’t know it was a fine dining restaurant. The food portion was tiny and their tastes weren’t that special either. The staff was professional and very nice.
Really good! We come again.
Great food, great service! Very recommended!!
Brilliant. Enough said
We had the tasting menu. Excellent food and matched wine in superb setting, all with excellent service.
You come for the wines and enjoy the food which is wonderful keeping the Tuscan flavors but giving something a little different to the standard Tuscan restaurant fayre. Very good service and a lovely garden environment.
Our family party of ten were staying near Siena and decided to take a drive into the Chianti hills to Fonterotoli where we had stopped en route from Florence earlier in the week. It was a stunning summers day and on arrival we were immediately greeted and were seated under a large awning: we felt as if we were special guests at a wedding reception.! The staff were attentive and charming and the food was faultless in flavour and presentation. We had entrees of potato gnocchi maremma, Chianti tuna (rabbit), aubergine flan, and grilled radicchio with burnt pear sauce. All were simply delicious as were our mains. Several bottles of the local rose made for a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Extra bottles were purchased at the emote a to take back to the villa. The House olive oil also deserves mention. Highly recommended.
Lovely environment and views, great wines, imaginative, good quality cooking
We were really dissapointed! Food wasn't good. Brought us the wrong dishes etc. Can not recommend it at all!
