8.5/10Having a good time is a question of equilibrium between many things but ultimately it is about having a real good time. At Il Governo, your are welcome like a friend with elegance and sense of service. Event better, the food, a mix between regional flair and modern settings is rather good. My friends did tell me that they liked it more than supposed-to-be-fancy places in Como. Conclusion : go for it.

8/10The restaurant is very nice with a terrace with a view on the lake. The food is delicious and good quality. The only minus was that pasta with pistacio pesto (primo) was surprisingly sweet, as it was really pistacio taste without too much cheese or anything salty. So we regretted a bit that we took it as main course. Perhaps an explanation could be added.

10/10Very authentic and nice restaurant. It’s exactly what we were looking for when traveling to Lake Como ! The quality of the product is just amazing and it’s not that expensive ! So we will come back !

10/10An amazing find in a small unique town on Como. Couldn’t have made us feel any more welcome! Food was excellent, wine was a superb selection and they let us try three bottles before purchase!

10/10Quaint little gem in the neighborhood with dining inside or out. It was raining when we went and it was cozy and warm inside. Limited menu, but food was excellent as was the wine selection. The owner is very personable and attentive to everyone who is dining. Don’t miss!!
