About the restaurant Osteria Pastella

VARIETY - Osteria Pastella is located in the heart of Florence close by Basilica di Santa Maria Novella. The restaurant proposes typical Tuscan cuisine, as well as the most famous mediterranean recipes. Homemade bread and Pasta.

NOT TO MISS - Our homemade pasta it’s a MUST, especially our Tagliatelle with Black truffle or salted mullet roe both served with Pecorino Romano cheese flambé; another specialty of the house would be our Fiorentina steak, or fresh fish. We also suggest for dessert our homemade chocolate fondant and our idea of tiramisu.

THE AMBIENCE - The style, from the first decades of the 19th century, gives our guests a relaxing feeling and along with the music accompanies them through a back in time evening.

I would put Osteria Pastella in the "high price" range rather than "medium price" as labelled on Trip Advisor, but anyway it's a must for a romantic dinner in Florence with your partner. It's a very unusual site with Belle Epoque style furniture at a few minutes walk from the main Railway Station. The cuisine is pretty local and the chef re-invents traditional dishes from the Tuscan tradition. Definitively I would recommend Osteria Pastella..... but watch the price

Good selfmade pasta! The tables next to the door are uncomfortable because of cold cold air from outside and disturbed by lot of people waiting for seating.

We selected it for our first night in Florence and regretted having had a late lunch as everything looked so good. Accordingly, we split a salad and their specialty of Tagliatelle with truffles flambé. An amazing dish. Do not leave Florence without trying it.

Amazing place for our last dinner in Florence. We found this place on Trip Advisor and decided to try it since reviews were good and it was close to our hotel. What an wonderful find! They make the pasta on site-there was a woman making the pasta in the front of the restaurant, and all the dishes were splendid. We started with a mixed seafood appetizer-very tasty. I had pasta with mussels that was very, very good. We ended with a dessert of white chocolate mousse with peaches and cocoa-Wow! Best dessert of the trip by far. Highly recommended.

Delicious! A full course meal will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes. No rushing here. Nice touches with complimentary Prosecco and a small nibble to start. Fabulous dishes. Tiramisu deconstructed was the perfect ending. And then surprise, a little Limoncello before heading home. Perfect!

I truly enjoyed the food. The pasta is amazing. The staff is friendly and warm. Even on a Sunday night the place was filled. If you want a great meal, fair prices and a welcoming atmosphere this is the place to go!

My girlfriend and I are vegetarians and were incredibly happy with this restaurant. We ordered the farmer's salad, the cheese tagliatelles with truffle and the saffron risotto and I must say the tagliatelles were amazing!! The risotto was mediocre comparatively and took a ton of time to cook unfortunately. They do the mixing of the pasta in the wheel of cheese right in front of you and it's fantastic. I would go back there in a heartbeat and would only order the tagliatelles as a main in the future. We had the tiramisu for dessert as well and we enjoyed their take on how to make it. All in all it was a wonderful food experience!

If you order anything other than their specialty dish "Tagliatelle flambé" you won't get the full experience. They prepare it next to you and it is well worth the wait and the money.

I had the the best past in Italy in this restaurant. Highly Recommended.
