Great place to dine. Wonderful sorroundings, interior and dining area. The restaurant is fully staffed wit high quality people that makes you feel wonderful from when you enter until you leave. The owner/chef is checking you out 3-4 times during your meal. Wonderful experience, food was great, and the service is outstanding.

Still the best restaurant in Altea.Quality ,service , atmosphere, and value.And Stephen makes the best Sangria I have ever had. We have been going for 22 years and will continue going every time we return to Altea.

The service was excellent in a beautiful setting . We had a generous sea bass main meal . We were offered a shot on the house . All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

My family and I were in town for a holiday and drove into Altea at the recommendation of Manuel (Fishing Guide). We are originally from Northern California (wine country) and have many top notch/Michelin restaurants within close proximity of our home to include Napa, Sonoma, Healdsburg and Yountville. Oustau de Alta absolutely stands up to the best of them and an absolute MUST if you’re in the area. Plan ahead and make reservations as they book out quickly. Ambiance: As soon as we walked through the front door we were greeted. As we followed our host to our table, we walked through charming terrace dining areas where you had the option to dine al fresco or sit in cozier spaces. Once sat, each team member had a role which was executed with great precision. When executed together, it was magical. What we ordered: (Starters) French Onion Soup, Salmon Tartare , Tuna Tartare, Scallops. Notes: I am normally not a fan of French Onion Soup however, I LOVED Oustau’s version. Both tartares were great and the Scallops were amazing!!! I forgot to take photos because we immediately jumped into eating after experiencing the French onion soup! Main Course: Husband - Golden Eye Son - Love Story Myself - Emma Stone Notes: Husbands dish was phenomenal and our son LOVED the pairing of his sirloin with the strawberry sauce/reduction. Both steaks cooked perfectly to temp and were extremely tender! My fish was amazing, delicately balanced with tender flake. Dessert: Husband & Son - Tiramisu Myself - Charlotte of Red Berries & Citrus Notes - THE most delicious tiramisu we have ever had! I had the Charlotte of Red Berries and it was…to die for!!!! Topped dinner and dessert off with a great cappuccino and small dinner shot of limoncello (for me), grapa (for husband) and a virgin berry drink (for our son). Overall: Wow wow wow! Oustau de Altea should be on everyone’s list of Michelin Restaurants to try. We are so glad we received the recommendation to dine here and truly hope you make the time to experience Oustau for yourselves.

The red carpet menu is very good and original. The seabass dish was the best! I loved how the staff and the chef were always smiling at everybody and just being naturaly kind and attentive. Great hospitality! The terrace area is extremely cozy and beautiful. I strongly recommend you book a table and don't miss out at this place during your visit to Altea. Lovely experience.
