About the restaurant Paloma

Entre mer et montagne, la « colombe » du chef étoilé Nicolas Decherchi a fait son nid au coeur du superbe vieux village de Mougins en 2013. Ambiance baroque contemporaine à l'intérieur, dehors c'est la terrasse qui donne un supplément d’âme panoramique à cette adresse résolument gastronomique. Au piano, Nicolas Decherchi distille une cuisine précise qui mêle tradition et création, produits de la région et nouveaux horizons : chou-fleur contisé à la truffe et cuit en brioche, célèbre foie gras de canard du Sud-Ouest aux citrons meringués et marmelade de Limoncello, marinière de homard Breton, côte de boeuf de Bavière cuite à la braise de coco et artichauts violets mi-cuits à la truffe et moelle confite… Suivis des délices du chef pâtissier Anthony Le Gouez comme le globe de pop-corn caramélisé à l’or fin, coeur coulant Dulcey et sorbet calamansi amer.

Place was really lovely. Gorgeous ambiance. The food was very good with my favourite dish being the lobster. Unfortunately the lady serving our table was a disaster. She was clearly unenthused by the whole evening and made a couple of us feel that we constantly needed to duck as she went by. She banged into one of my fellow diners three times throughout the meal and was very rough & brusque. It’s a shame as it definitely coloured the evening a bit for us. Definitely not acceptable at such a price point.

Too much foam for my taste! Very pretentious atmosphere and staff. Lovely meal with the exception of the tasteless foam. We returned the next day to retrieve something my husband left on the table by accident and there was no sign of it and seemed quite offended that he returned to ask and our main server gave no sign that she recognized him from the night before despite the fact that he has a very distinctive appearance. Overpriced for the overall dining experience.

This is our second time at Paloma, this time bringing two friends. Everything was as good as our first time here. The attention to detail on both the food and service is excellent. A great find in a beautiful old French hilltop village.

This was, without question, the finest meal we had in the South of France. The chef used the highest quality ingredients to produce playful yet elegant courses which flowed nicely throughout the meal. The service was impeccable - attentive, professional and friendly. I highly recommend Paloma and look forward to returning.

Paloma is best restaurant we dined at on our European vacation this year. Flawless service without pretention. The Faux Tomato was a work of art and the Lobster Medallions in Orange Foam were superb. Deserving of their two Michelin Stars, if not three. Highly recommended if in the area.
