We have always enjoyed our meals at Para. This time we were disappointed. The stuffed zucchini flowers dropped with oil and the potatoes seemed to have been reheated a few time. The fish was fabulous as was the green salad. Had some great wines also. A mixed event.

We had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the wine very much. Our fist choice wasn't available so the maitre'd, who charmed us with his droll personality,. recommended another. His choice was perfect.

We had pleasant dinner for two on Saturday evening. We chose the $60 feasting menu. This was a lot of food and excellent value. There was plenty of fresh focaccia bread to start - best to keep some for later mopping up pasta sauce etc. Zucchini flowers were excellent. The buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes salad was fresh and delicious. We then had a very tasty lamb ragu pasta. Finally, a whole snapper with cashew milk yoghurt sauce was fresh, subtle, and most agreeable. There was also plenty of fresh salad and black garlic roasted potatoes. The only service slip-up was that we were told that the main would be beef, but snapper arrived instead, so we had a glass of big Barossa red wine waiting for it. The wine list was extensive and varied.

Our first time dining at Para and we had a great experience. Lovely service and really enjoyed our meal. Quality fresh produce, which really made the dishes. Entrees were a standout for us and the gnocchi was unexpected and so delicious!

The service was good but unfortunately the food was extremely salty in every dish we had and it seemed to be the overwhelming flavour. Came away feeling sick from too much salt and oil.

Not a large menu but a totally delicious one. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The chef did a great job of combing great flavors and the staff were very professional.

At Para in Thirroul you get attentive service and quality Mediterranean style share plates, a decent range of local and European Wines by the bottle or the glass. We shared 2 small plates, zucchini flowers, Buffalo mozzarella followed by 2 large plates of whole snapper and a rump steak with a side of green salad. Fantastic food! If you live locally and want to celebrate a special occasion as a couple or with friends this is the top place to go in Thirroul, without a doubt!

Really enjoyed our meal at Para. We went for an early booking (6pm) on a rainy Friday so it was pretty empty so the food came out quickly and it was delicious. Would come back again for sure!

Absolutely stunning place - such lovely decor and ambience. Unfortunately the food portions are very tiny and outrageously expensive. Its a share plate style, but the plates are super small with the exception of the starter. The waitress recommended we start off with Polenta chips, which were just giant slabs of stodgy fried polenta that had no taste at all, but i guess its supposed to fill us all up before the small little plates of mains come one by one. There was only cheesecake or affogato for dessert and no tea available - only coffee. Whats so difficult about serving a pot of tea? We had a lovely evening because of the ambience and the company we were with - but the food options, flavours and portion size was a huge disappointment and the shock of the bill at the end confirmed that we would not recommend this restaurant. Its such a pity as we need more fine dining options in Thirroul.

Had a lovely evening at Para; the service was exceptional-the staff extremely friendly and polite and all round great service. The food was fantastic, to the point where we ate too much! Would definitely recommend, and will be going there again!

Really enjoyed our night at Para. We had the feast between 4 of us. The food was beautiful, loved the different dishes and was nice to just sit back and not have to decide was right have. The service was also great.

We didn't think the tapas menu was great. We asked to be served with a main and side dish each which the chef reluctantly agreed to. The duck was absolutely mouth watering so tasty and tender, the fish was good I believe, potato side must have been smoked which didn't have a nice taste, could have been delicious with just the garlic butter, but both deserts were absolutely delicious also.
