Very good
Ottimo
Ottimo pesce
Authentic, homely and delicious food. I booked a table for lunch and arrived to find a very small restaurant full of local people; families and couples sharing Saturday lunch together so I knew it was going to be good. The food is obviously cooked to order using very fresh ingredients and with great skill by the chef, who came from the kitchen when he could to check we were enjoying the food. I had a simple but delicious spaghetti a vongole for il primo, and as secondo I had the tenderest baccalà, cooked twice; first fried then cooked in tomato olive and caper sauce. It was excellent. There is no fancy presentation here, it is just delicious food extremely well cooked. I had chosen the restaurant as it had riccio (sea urchins) on the menu but they weren’t available today. Before leaving I asked the chef, in my almost useless Italian, why. He said sea urchins have a season from April until July, after which they become unpleasant to eat. From September he said never eat them because they’re bad. He’s a very friendly, helpful man and a good cook!
This restaurant has delicious food, wine and excellent service. We will be back again soon, unfortunately not tomorrow, as they are closed on Mondays. You will not be disappointed for a real Naples flavor!
Very tasty food, and lovely staff! A pleasure to dine
Pasta is nice, the seafood are fresh
The true local experience, kind of an hidden gem in the narrow streets of Naples and few steps away from castel dell’Ovo. Warm service, great food, fresh and according to the tradition. Nothing fancy, the menu can vary depending on the availability and we were glad we reserved a table, it was full with locals!
Everything perfect!
We had a very pleasant Christmas dinner in family ! Thank you very much !
Off the beaten path, close to but not like the overpriced tourist restaurants. The spaghetti with clams were fresh and would recommend. Attentative staff and very good value for money.
Great place , great sea food very fresh, Worth it so much.
assolutamente da provare
Definitly I recommand and then you shoud walk till the plaza bellini for chilling moments
Piccolo ristorante a tema Napoli ...pesce fresco e piatti semplici e genuini.buona frittura di paranza
I was in Naples for 3 days only and went to this restaurant for dinner on the first night. It was the best italian meal I have ever had in my life. The products used were so fresh and tasty and the price was really low compared to the quality of the dishes. I loved it so much that I came back the next evening and had dinner there again. The menu is large enough to eat more than one time there and not have the same thing. The portions were really big too. In short one of the best meals i've ever had, It was an orgasmic experience.
Small, very friendly place. Huge portions, very fresh seafood, made to order--not pre fabbed then heated. House wine was delicious and equals any bottled. Will definitely go back. Make a reservation!
My wife and I are at this restaurant at a Thursday afternoon. The food was fantastic. The waiter and chef both came to greet us, unfortunately, our Italian is very poor. Locals started to trickle in as we ate so you know it was authentic. We got the zuppa di cozzo, eggplant parmesan, linguini crab, and the fish of the day. All were molto bene. Location is next to the Egg castle.
The seafood appetizers were inventive and tasty, anticipated each one as Marco brought them out. The mixed fish was one of the best I have had in Naples. The decor is simple and reflective of a welcoming home.
Good but disappointing... We booked a dinner for 4 people after seeing the good comments about the restaurant on internet. The restaurant is nice with vegetation outside, and slightly distant from the sea side and all the tourists. It has around 5 tables inside and 3 tables outside which makes it quite cosy. Nevertheless we were quite disappointed. First our table was not ready when we came. Then we had to wait 50 minutes to get 4 bruschetta, and then around 30 minutes to get the main dishes (pasta), asking two times if it was normal to wait so long. Some people who came after us finished long before us with no specific reason (same dishes). The bruschetta plate was "strange", like if someone already took some of them, letting spaces and tomatoes around. The pasta were well cooked and overall good. I would recommend the spicy ones that I found good, unlike the "pasta alla vongole" that were full of oil and not very tasty. We did not get back.
Via Chiatamone, 56, 80121, Naples, Italy
